Melee: Out of Mana don't attack at all instead of normal

The system isn't broken at all. In fact, you should resort to melee attacks when out of mana or you aren't attacking at all. If you have an issue with managing your mana, switch it to a keyboard binding.

This seriously seems to be a failure on your part, not the games.

Mine is already set to a keyboard binding and still runs at the enemy when oom.

I think now its ok. Will be bad if attacks are disable, when mana is depleted.
Im Marauder and still not have Blood Magic, but i dont complain and never have problem with that, so in my opinion how its now its 100% ok.
I dont see a problem, if you got problem, then your micro is bad at all. What is the problem to check with 1 eye the mana ? I dont even need that, i get use to and know exact when to put mana flask ...
So the problem is yours.
If its how you want, when mana is over you will stand like a tree and the chance to die is a lot more, then its now. Now you will attack with normal attack, and still will leech life.
So i dont see a problem with the system now i will see a problem if was like you want !!!

Yeah just to re-affirm, I'd rather it so that clicking an enemy makes you walk up to and attack an enemy but once the enemy dies you no longer walk until you release the mouse button and re-press it (or move the courser over another enemy).

I'd also like to keep the current system where you use a Default Attack when out of mana because it prevents situations where you aren't dealing damage. I have no clue why you'd want to stop it from using Default Attack when you run out of mana, if you want to build up your mana then stop attacking! Disabling Default Attack will just make you a punching bag while you wait for mana to build up.

As others have said, use shift to attack in place. If you can't manage your mana, you might consider looking into ways to do that before you call it a broken system. Learn how many times you can use your skill before running out and how to get the most out of your flasks, and you won't run into situations in which you fail to know how much mana you have.

Please create a race melee character that is some minutes behind the fastest solo racers.
I can help you to create one and with eq(links changing constantly there is only a vague estimation of attacks.

Bind ground slam to one of the keyboard keys, instead of the mouse..

But really, this doesn't seem to be a valid issue in my eyes.

It doesn't work. Shift is the only solution and it's not the way you melee on races.
You dance around big packs not to get hit.


It's really annoying in races! In races you usually hoard big packs and try to take them down with AoE skills.
If you switch to normal attack you will run into 7+ mobs and get hit really hard.

it is broken ! a melee base character should not have mana , my witch never run out of mana at low lvl but my marauder is always out ????? see the flaw here . witch and tenplar should be on mana - marauder and dualist on another type of energy and same for shadow and ranger , some gem would be bound to 1 type of energy and some could be cross spec . red = str / blue = mana / green = dext / purple cross str:mana / yellow = cross mana:dext / and orange cross dext:str would make a lot more sense and if you have to cut a part of the passive skill tree depending on the class you play then do it .

right now i marauder feel like a wannabe templar ! just feels wrong to have everything bound to the same energy mechanic :(
