technical issues with graphics.

well i just tried to play today during the public stress test weekend. but i am totally unable to play.

no matter how much i dumb down the graphics. its just totally unplayable.. sometimes the game starts and still shows the character select screen. others the rain shows up.. but never leaves and just keeps adding upon the screen until the entire screen is rain.

i'm not running on an alien ware or anything. but i can handle most other big games.

my system specs are as follows.

MS Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP2
CPU
Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T6500 @ 2.10GHz 65 °C

Motherboard

Graphics

i would think i should be able to run this game. and i would really like to in the future. i hope you guys are able to dumb down the system to allow more players get in to the game without major upgrades.
As of 0.9.7 I've been having strange graphical glitches after extended play. Such as shadows degrade into stretching black boxes, and the auto map is a giant blurry mess.

Nothing too game breaking, but I still would like it if it didn't happen.

Someone else in another thread brought this up, and I think they should have more "low-end" settings. This will allow more users to play, and enjoy the game.

You dont meet the system requirments to play Path of Exile your laptop to be blunt is crap it cannot play anything decent and im not sure were u got idea from that u can play big games coz with that laptop/notebook you cant even play Call of Duty on low
i can play just about anything. dead island, splinter cell conviction, mass effect, starcraft 2 with little to no problem. just to name a few.

but i also haven' t seen any release of system requirements.
to quote the FAQ

"14. What are the hardware requirements for Path of Exile?
Path of Exile is designed to run on a huge variety of systems, from an everyday laptop to a top of the line gaming rig. Our detailed art is designed to not only look great, but also reveal additional detail as the resolution is increased to the maximum of 2560x1600. Exact system requirements will be determined closer to release."

I think your main problem is that your GPU just sucks.
Why is this such a problem? POE doesn't have an option to lower the texture quality (yet) so anyone with a bad GPU will have a hard time running the game.
''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters.
The silence is your answer.''

IGN: Vaeralyse
Try running the game through GameBooster and yeah your GPU sucks :P
Sweeping Maid
Have you tried changing your Video Configuration? Lowered some of the settings (Sync, shadows, etc) to see what might be causing the problem?

Try to set everything to low and see if that's playable. From there, build the settings to a higher config until it's starting to cause issues for you again.
