CI build and Blood magic maps

I was a HC CI witch and entered a map with blood magic in. Didnt remember what it was so I wanted to buff up with auras and guess what.. I died instantly.

I would like to know why its only purity that can be cast and no other auras. >_<

CI = max life becomes 1
BM mod = every skill uses life to be casted Cost to cast aura: 40% of your HP Due to the way rounding numbers works in PoE, having 1 HP and casting an aura (or anything else) drops you to under 1.0000, and kills you. BM mod is the only Absolutely impossible mod to be done with a CI character. Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.
