Metal PoE song

This you classify as "Metal?"

This is what happens when a genre or sub-genre gets fashionable for five minutes and corporate bigwigs or youtubers go for the copycat cash grab with little intention of staying true to their origins. Subsequently, the music is watered down, washed out and cleansed of all things pure, leaving just a marketable product rather than an actual piece of original art.

Metal is about the rough stuff, not sugar & sprinkles OP. At least it used to be :(

Don't worry, metal is fine. Can't say I'm particularly fond of power metally stuff, but I don't let that interfere with my enjoyment of less friendly metal.

Rob Halford, Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickinson beg to differ. They're considered the gods of metal and they all have that signature epic arena voice that can scream the high notes. That's metal.

Go fuck yourself, this is Power Metal. Power Metal has always been a big thing. You're not actually going to try to tell me that Iron Maiden isn't metal, are you?

Don't get me wrong, it's not my favorite flavor (my absolute favorite band in the world is Bolt Thrower,) but it's as metal as Grave, Immortal, and Anthrax.

Oh, and by the way, "used to be?" No way, metal "used to be" WAY sparklier than this. I'm guessing you like Black Metal? Venom is widely considered to be one of, if not THE, first black metal band. Go give them a listen, and remember your roots.
PoE theme, just change the name to Somos Todos Exilados instead xD

There are some pretty heavy power bands out there, they are few tho. I can recommend Manticora

Don't ever lump Ronnie James dio into the power metally group of fluffy metal types - ever dude . Ever .
This is brilliant! :D
"That's how you die properly, Sailor Boy.."
I think we would look pretty silly, compared to that masterpiece.

When exactly did power metal become marketable to the general public that listens to the top 40 day in and day out? Just because power metal has clean vocals does not mean it is some sub genre of metal that rakes in the cash, that is just laughable to even imply that.

And yes, I am a huge fan of death/black metal, I love harsh music. But for you to say metal is basically solely about "the rough stuff" is incredibly ignorant as metal encompasses tons of different subject matter. I would think metal would be very boring if every band had to adhere to occult or gore themes for every album.

If anything metal has always been producing bands that are pushing into new ground and creating something fresh and new all the time. And if the genre was full of people like you the genre would stifle its self and die in its own pile of complaints that every band is the same.

Stop rustling my jimmies.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
