GG, new unique chest and CI.

Seems this armor is getting way more attention than it deserves. I could be wrong of course.

A couple of thoughts for those that may not be thinking this through:

Exactly why do you care about 40% auras? And even with reduced mana and blood magic and blah blah...I guess you are presuming to be able to survive on like no hp? ok...that's possible for sure, but ~

How are you planning to get energy shield back? Oh, I see, ghost reaver and zealot's oath. Ok so, you somehow get awesome life leach. I guess you could do that. I guess you also found life regen somewhere anywhere near the witch area. Just getting ghost reaver and zealots oath together will be hard, but I am guessing you will find your way to all of those awesome hp regen nodes, except ~

Your energy shield will be lower than someones life total on a dedicated life build. Your mana will be lower than someone with an Eldritch Battery build. Both of which can benefit from life flasks. Those regen pretty quick. This chest is not the be all to end all uberest ES ever. It has no life, it has no chaos resist..... (how do you do damage with righteous fire again? oh yeah, your life....which is low...maybe you multiply it enough *shrug*)

The jury is out. I think people lack imagination for creating builds. Even if this chest works well for a low life build, low life builds needed some love. I don't think this item will become a sudden 'must-have' for witches. Again, I could be wrong.

I agree. This chest is dedicated for low life build, not for anything else. This chest doesn't "shit on CI" since you are still immune to chaos damage (and not damaging the ES) and since the chest is "good but not that good" as ES values (Less than 500 :/) and stats.

The chest would work amazingly for a hybrid ES/HP build too. I have 4000/2000 ES/HP, and I hardly see any HP decreasing if there are no snakes/alchemists/poison archers etc. around. Make me Chaos invulnerable and I suddenly have much more survivability. And the other stats are not lame either. I assume a lot of people will consume all their orbs in trying to make this thing a 5-6L.

GGG needs to take out the new Unique instantly.

This armour in combination with Zealot Oath gives you the possibility to run:

-Alot blood Magic Auras
-Righteous Fire with inner force 115% MORE damage
-Pain Attunment, again 30% more damage which would be with RF 180% MORE damage
-dont need to invest one point in life
-dont need chaos resis on your gear, some % would be nice but you dont really need it that much
-You have alot of ES reg all the time when used with Zealot´s Oath

180% more damage, 6-8Auras and dont need life and Chaos Resis mods anymore.

Perhaps I misunderstand what you are saying, but this chest does not make you invulnerable to chaos damage. It just makes chaos damage hit your ES first.

No no, thanks for the correction, I worded the sentence poorly, my mistake. All a consequence of how insignificant chaos damage is if you make it just another form of incoming damage - that is if you have enough ES, of course. I know my 4000 ES is not much (only self found gear), but even with it I am pretty comfortable. My only lack of comfort is from punctures or chaos AoE stuff. Remove that by putting it in the ES, and I would obviously be very happy, one less worry.

Bids are already 12 Exalted for this thing. So... self-found or none for me :)

Yeah, I know... I died 5 times at 80 from a Vulnerability 66 map, all the 2000/4000 HP/ES drained in a single step. Staying foot to tank mobs is not an option for my caster witch either.
Was even more annoying than alchemists. Maybe on par with splitting hasted alchemists :)

A easy fix to CI is just remove it from the game. Dissapointed with this so much, i hope a fix soon for CI
