I stay alive as my regen is higher than my cast of EK so I over regen life per second. Only time I link LL (LoH wont work with spells) is if the map is phys reflect or regen 50% slower sometimes

Few questions here.
1) EK does enough damage just through support gems with zero damage passives? Is this just a high survivability build with subpar clear speed?
2) Isn't single target damage bad only relying on Bear Traps? Or is EK single target not that bad with these links?
3) Am I underestimating Tempest Shield? How necessary/useful is it?

I believe poison arrow just got nerfed for the lower levels. Still decent past the teens.
I see you pick up body and soul (armor and ES) nodes. Since you do not take much Es, if any at all with this build, are there not better options to spend those points?
Also, will this build ever be viable with Kaoms Heart? Can it work with only 4 sockets?

1) its awesome clear speed, EK levels light a monster. I do 2.8k DPS with no damage nodes
2) EK is single target WITH bear trap
3)It is very useful as it adds more dps (lightning damage on block) and adds more block chance

The ES is just part of body and soul so it really doesnt matter.
This build would DEF work with Kaoms Heart as your life regen will be redic because you have so much health, though you will have to be okay with not doing AS much damage with EK, you will still be in the 2-3k in high 70's-80's

About the BaS cluster, I was just asking if you think those points could be spent more efficiently. It's 6 points for 60% armor and 10% resist. Most armor nodes give 10-12, with a 20-30% at the end - seems much more bang for your buck.

depends on if you need resist or not, both are sistuational
