I understand that in your context staves are way better but if you would create a classic fire ball build for example, there are no reasons going staves over dual. I like staffs, have one for armageddon brand and one for strom brand. The +2 you get on a staff is really good with some skills. Need 2 exaults for the light one

Just got this one in temple, free if u want it. No +cold gems but good stats otherwise.

(dont mind the links, just checking the skill mechanics) even with these rolls i most probably will switch to some other setup - +4 levels tabula/other generic chest is worth a lot more than extra link staff to be 'worth it' HAS to have one or two 'link' rolls AND +2 to element gems otherwise it looks great yet in practice the damage is.. well, mediocre. spell levels are priceless esp when you can get lvl21 gem to start with. guess how rare are the staves with 2 gem links AND +2 gems.. |
