Mastermind fight

Oh, didn't know that. Failed this part of the challenge and had no idea why.

Although I saw some playthroughs beforehand, it was convoluted. Did Mastermind pretty overlevelled (trying to finish existing safehouses took ages) so she was easy enough... totally nothing to do with playing totem guy running like a headless chicken *coughcoughcough*.
Finally filled up the progress bar for a third attempt now. It took a long time. It sucks that all progress on the four safe houses will be lost. Are the mastermind rewards good?

Very glad I waited until level up before attempting this fight. Has to be the most bullshit boss fight I've faced in any game. Killed the bint, but it took four deaths. Won't be going through that stuff again, even if I accidentally unlock her a 2nd time.

Not great rewards either, but at least I've done her now, it's out of my system.

Since everything got reset, I may just leave the syndicates in the ground forever.
Pangaearocks: What did you get?
5 uniques. One of them had an enchant to be unveiled. No idea if any are worth much, but probably not as 99.9% of uniques have no real value.

Admittedly I also had two of those breachstone upgrade chests. So I could have bought two and made a ton of currency by selling them (since I had a free portal, unless it gets 'deleted' by going to another person's hideout), but I just couldn't be arsed.

One of them:
That's one of the new uniques.

Yes you could have upgraded those stones. Portals don't go away until a certain amount of time passed. I think it's 30 minutes. Not sure.

Well done making the fight. I failed my second attempt.

Mastermind number 3 was a success. No deaths. A few occasions on low life. Area was level 81. Did it with my level 93 zombiemancer.

Anyone figured how what determines the area level yet?
Are the rewards random or the sum of the current state of safehouses?

I fought the battle for the first time today at level 88 with a cleave juggernaut and WoE. My dps is only about 90k so killing can take awhile. I didn't die at all. I had watched ziggy's first attempt video so I kinda knew what to expect.

Mostly I kept moving and after killing one of the bosses I hung out in a corner to recharge and then went back into the fray.

Good planning. Did you get anything good?
