Betrayal just isn't fun
I am surprised to see that almost everyone here dislikes betrayal.
I might be one of the few who enjoys betrayal. I think they are challenging and fun. Good addition to maps imo. |

" +1 Amplifying on Beastiary,Incursion but especially Delve would have made much more sense IMO..Even after de-tuning after hotfixes and patches they do FAR too much damage compared to level,and when spawned in certain areas are impossible to avoid. I also have mine locked away,ignoring Jun and the secret lab..Even if the damage and mechanics were'nt so out of whack,I wouldn't find Betrayal interesting. Making sulphite spawns more frequent with greater amounts would make many people happy,more (and more worthwhile) Beastcrafting recipes likewise,an expanded Temple would be easy as well. I'm losing interest fast,always played the hell out of the last 5-6 leagues,but this just lacks the *fun* of the others.. Some mornings it's not worth chewing the straps off...

" Development on this game (and the development team themselves) isn't a single, monolithic item; it's composed of multiple separate parts. The expansion work is separate from the league work. We can have a mediocre league launched with a good expansion; in fact this has happened before. (see, for instance, Essence, which launched with Atlas of Worlds) The expansion that launched at the same time isn't a credit to the league, and vice versa. " Exactly. I love how they changed the Atlas and included the new master missions. A few of the new skills are awesome too. Overall, the game is in a really good state imo. It's just the league that sucks. |

Echoing the sentiments of most of the posters in this thread. Even after the supposed nerf, the Betrayal encounters are still hitting me way too hard, way too much of the time. The most fun I'm having in this league is Einhar's dialogue.
The Easter egg hunt crafting system, I find completely irritating. I was quite content to level forsaken masters, so I can't say I'm all that thrilled with the new master system. I particularly liked the Elreon/Vorici combo for getting jewelers and fusings... which, I expect, is at least part of the reason for the master overhaul. "People ask me why I do this at my age. People are rude."

I gotta say. I agree completely with the poster, and just wanna help keep this thread going. Hopefully ggg will end this season sooner then later. Betrayal just isnt fun! Ive played on and off since i got my beta key and this season may be my last. Maps just aint fun when the syndicate could pop up at any moment and ruin your run. Whether it be cause ypur ocd, or ur sruggling to survive as it is. Please tell me u at least blacklisted boss maps/rooms!... And god, dont get me started on hardcore with this mess. To round off my frustration, i also want to point out that not everyone has a grade Fucking A computer. So maybe chill it out with the massive spawning of mobs upon mobs upon mobs!

So after playing Arc Trapper through to endgame, AKA Cruise Control, I made the ill-fated decision to try again with a less meta build with Smite. I was rapidly reminded how fucking absurdly fast the Syndicate scales compared to normal content, and I'm about to lock those assholes in their hole indefinitely.
Fuck this league. Smite isn't even a bad build, and I can't be expected to have amazing gear at level fucking 27, so why in the fuck is the Syndicate allowed to be this strong? GGG seriously needs to tune the early shit down way the fuck more. This is a buff™

I'm still new to the game, started in November, so I'm just on my 2nd character. At first I thought it was just me being new that was having so much trouble with this but then I started talking to people a bit, made my 1st trades, looked through the posts etc. Nope, it ain't me, its the game.
I am enjoying a lot of the mechanics and stuff that was not present in the Standard, I love the beast thingy, Zana's missions, Helena's hideouts, prophecies, breaches, quite a lot of stuff. Now the things that I don't like: Gave up on Delving because of the azurite grind, just wayyyyyy too long and too stupid. If the nodes gave a lot more to upgrade your cart, flares dynamite, I might have been doing it, but after a few 1 hour sessions I just said fuck this shit. Am ready to hit way deeper stuff character wise, but can't because of countless hours necessary to get my cart etc. upgraded. Gave up on Incursions when I need to level. I do the Incursion missions but only and exclusively rigth after I hit level so I don't lose any XP, otherwise I avoid it. I might do it much more once I reach max level. Most of all, I gave up on the Syndicate. I demoted / deleveled them as much as I could, stripped them of their items as much as I could, gave them as many rivalries as I could so they don't help each other, and then like everyone else, locked them into research where I avoid them like the plague. just don't even touch any of this stuff, and it was supposed to be patched / nerfed, what a fucking joke. If they really want people to actually play it then they need to address all the 1 shot mechanics, the spawn rates, the amount of heals that the totems from the forts do, hell even health of the fort gates is out of whack, all that stuff needs to be like halved, some of it even more toned down. Also, it seems to me that the game pass Act 10 is missing the RPG element almost completely out of the ARPG. Only the A is present. Kinda needs to return to being ARPG with the RPG included. Game is an absolute blast up to Kitava act 10 fight, that is where it goes south and then its either OK, but just barely, or kinda sucks, like the Syndicate and the azurite grind. |

" what i get from this whinery is that normal content should have been also made more difficult. there aren't many places left where ggg can put challenges without players complaining. place them before rewards: bad, gearcheck, only nolifers get them make them avoidable: bad, people just avoid them, its like standard league make them not avoidable: omg i died, remove.death penalty asap! the only way out is to have a no effort game with only rewards, automatic trading where ggg buys your items, bring forth the blue unicorns! age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
