Turning off syndicate mechanics?

Yea i see people saying they turned them off! How do i do that?

Dunno if this is the way, but it is the way i do it. Get the underground lab to spawn and do not go in there. If you do that each time a syndicate event spawns it will be the underground lab. No more syndicates running around oneshotting you in the maps :P
If you're having problems with a particular syndicate member, interrogate them and/or any other option available to lower their rank. Sometimes, syndicate members give you the option to remove a member from the syndicate all together but they'll be replaced by some other member that's currently not on the board. You can also make the syndicate members easier by removing their gear, through a randomly appearing option to destroy syndicate member's gear.

If weakening the members to rank 0-1 and destroying all of their gear isn't enough, along with removing members that are particularly difficult (some are legit hard counters for certain builds and should be removed by the player, through the mechanic), you could also try to get as many members into "Research" as possible and as few as possible into the others. Research is only triggered by going into the research side zone that appears in maps/zones.
Where there's one they're bound to divide it right in two.
If you wish to completely "turn it off" (aka playing standard in temp league), some say that you can do so by engaging with enough syndicate content until you find the research facility. Then, don't go in. The following encounters will apparently always be research, which you can bypass safely. If you want to "turn it on" again, just go in and do whatever you must do.

I haven't tried myself, so can't confirm.

Another option for making the league mechanic easier is to run some type of skill that destroys corpses. At least one of the Syndicate members does a vaal corpse explosion. One of the popular streamers was suggesting people use a low level cwdt + offering skill. Other skills like Devouring Totem (If you're not already using a totem) or skills that destroy corpses when they are created can help. Frozen enemies can shatter on death leaving no corpse. Skills like Infernal Blow destroy corpses in an explosion, when the mob dies.

Just some ideas. I've also had my own fair share of deaths to this league's mechanic. That said, I'm finding it difficult to advance syndicate member's rank now, compared to a few days ago. They hardly give the option to increase rank and seem to be favoring moving around and making friends with other syndicate members, for some reason.

Can confirm, this is exactly how it works.

I deactivated them for now, so I can lvlup easily to then turn them on again and have fun fighting these guys


Love them, awesome content but a little too rippy while leveling xD
