If it took you 5 days you are doing it wrong.

If you do it only for that fight you are doing it wrong.

The safehouses are the actual goal you should go for as they can be very very rewarding. You can manipulate what you get in each safehouse to maximize profits.

It's also very important how many of the members you kill in each event. More is better because you get more options for interogations and intelligence.

Try to learn the Syndicate system and relationships to maximize your gains. Some compromise options are amazing: I got 3 ex off the give stack of currency and there is one legit report of a guy getting 3 mirrors. Some hideout stashed can give league uniques. Trapped stash let me pick a Kaom's Heart out of it. Scarabs sell well or you can use them. You get the drift.

To summarize: don't look at the whole league goal just to kill that boss. You will have a bad time. Take the whole process and loot as the reward.

Warcraft 3 on its best day used to have 40-50k on at a time.
Diablo 3 has never released any player numbers... It sold 12 million copies in the first year so player numbers of 100k are definitely possible.

I bet their average is between 10 and 20k now though. That's just my own opinion though.
