Betrayal MEchanic?
Can anyone here explain me pls how this Brtrayal mechanic works?
I watched the ZiggyD Intro for this but still have no clue. I randomly press Interrogate or Bergain atm bcs theres no real description how exactly this works. Is this like incursion that I have to kill the masters till I get to the Boss, or do I have to Bergain/Interrogate them in a specific way? Rly no clue here...rly complicated mechanic. I'll second that this is Betrayal business is confusing, but I will share with you the solution that I found and honed after the Delve distraction, the Temple timewasting, the bestiary bulldust...
Ignore all new league mechanics forever, or at least until they make all the fixes in the first patch. Your enjoyment will go up and frustration will disappear! Much as I love GGG / POE, their new leagues are utter crap until the community tells them what to do. |

" I am no expert either, but as far I understand you need to gain favor with them, so that they reveal the location of the stash. You do this by putting them in prison for a few rounds. You can also give them a higher rank, that is usually done by killing them. They will be stronger next time you meet them, but also offer higher rewards. Such rewards you can get by bargaining with them, which is like telling them to run away, for a price. I got uniques and scarabs like that. Another mechanic is the actual safehouse. As more "immortals" you sent into said, as more of their loot you will get. You get the ocacional "swap position", so if you like currency, put the guys in the safehouse that offer you currency. That´s just the basics, I only played into Act 2 so far. |

This is horribly unintuitive design, I have to say. You are given choices and not given the information you need to make them in any meaningful way. Did they even playtest this?
My question: Can you brick yourself by making the wrong choices? Wash your hands, Exile!

Same. This is confusing AF, and i'm not sure what to pick and why.

There are no bad choice, only long way to get higher. all you need to fill up line to recovery hideout, when you choose option you can see numbers more numbers to investigation all the way good, do as you want take them to prison free all prisons to get +10 for investigation, i open Tora, go in hideout look like map ---> at the end Boss for me Tora
i couldnt kill her slow down to 0% HP, but no killing blow at all, spend all portals same reaction every time, saw closed door with treasure, key seems will drop be from boss. Ye bugged i think ![]() https://imgur.com/L7rrEtM |

Man you guys are trying to make a big deal out of nothing and overanalyse. If you interrogate you get more information on the syndicate branch > which leads you to finding out who the boss is and being able to encounter them. You can than interrogate the boss for the final boss information.
If you kill, the agent becomes stronger the next time you meet and possibly goes up the ladder. Meaning potentially different rewards or boss encounter if they become the branch boss. If you swap positions of agents.... you swap their positions and won't encounter them in those missions any more. The last two are simply to make it easier for yourself or maybe avoid meeting someone who one shots you on hc and some such.... literally no difference in which "agent" you interrogate, as long as he hasn't killed you on hc. All that is just my minimal experience in 10 hours. Currency crafting bench rewards though is FUN AF. Last edited by Ashkatar#5072 on Dec 8, 2018, 3:09:19 PM

The Syndicate literally makes me want to stop playing. Pop up in important areas chasing me down, one-shot me... Want to read the lengthy tooltips??? Hope you like dying.

" Ye they can hit prety hard and sometimes survive up to 5 times longer than Act bosses. ^^ But to be honest I like this kind of challange. WHat I've seen you can dismiss specific Syndicate member (with the red line) But aas said I have no clue how to create green and red lines between the member. This is how it should look like: https://picload.org/view/dclpaorc/correct.jpg.html This is how mine looks like: https://picload.org/view/dclpaorw/wrong.jpg.html Would be rly nice if GGG could explain how to create those green and red lines. Bcs killing the bosses dont create them somehow....this mechanic is rly frustrating so far. Last edited by CroDanZ#1818 on Dec 10, 2018, 7:18:00 AM
