Molten strike got buffed, a ton of uniques got buffed...although im pretty sure bows are looking even better. Trickster with hyrri's ire and minion damage stacking.


we're losing 3 projectiles.. wouldn't call that a buff


We lost alot more than 3 projectiles. The wildfire nerf is pretty big. Did the math its roughly between 18-19% dps loss. So we have to find a place to fill the void.
From the Occultist changes:
"
New Notable - Withering Presence: +60% to Chaos Resistance, +20% to Non-Ailment Chaos Damage over Time Multiplier. Every second, inflict Withered on nearby Enemies for 15 seconds. Nearby Hindered Enemies deal 15% reduced Damage over Time.

Is that really meant to read "hindered"?

OK, does it also affect the fire damage of supported gems like Immolate (when linked for example to Barrage or Tornado Shot) ? What if these gems are in the armour instead ?

Seriously, calm down.

Personally, I liked the 'stat stick' setup when stat sticks were things like Death's Hand, Prismatic Eclipse, etc. They were, IMO, reasonably balanced and, importantly interesting options (before the advent of OP stat-sticks.)

The problem was the Shaper stat sticks with multiple X% of Physical Damage gained as extra Cold/Fire/etc - these were far stronger than any other option, to the degree that at end game, there were no other realistic options. I agree that this situation needed to be addressed. However, I don't like the way it was addressed because it removes the option of those reasonable stat-sticks. As far as I can see this means a dozen or more unique 1H weapons (I'm including levelling stat-sticks) will have no use in the game come patch 3.5, which is a shame.

Melee is not dead, however, it has fewer options now.
