Pure Physical Damage Builds

When will we see thee really good again?

Or Bleed for that matter.

It's getting super depressing

They are fine.
They can clear all content.
They are just not broken by default like elemental conversion builds.
Just saying I play DoTs every league Bleed and/or poison.
Their good. Just not Broken inherently. . .
I am your Devine one Bow before me
Impale will make them better. But yes, they are a little bit lacking compared to the alternatives. But as said above, they are "OK" compared to the difficulty of the game.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

There is also no real balance when comparing pure phys vs elemental conversion builds.

For the game to have a good balance they should make it so both are meta, not just making ele conversion or ele stack builds the meta.

Pure Phys can clear most content 1 or 2 builds of it but you compare that to elemental damage builds there's 100067 of them that can do the same thing and usually faster. It's annoying.

If you want phys and get to end game efficiently you have to choose from a limited number of builds to do it.
As long as stat sticks are the way they are now, Elemental conversion will always be superior.

They've said they plan on dealing with stat sticks in the near future, so I imagine we aren't far away from those going away
Granted, GGG isn't perfect, so their "dealing with stat sticks" may fail to solve the problem, or may even make a worse problem. We won't know until they actually do it, whenever that is.

But yeah, stat sticks make elemental conversion builds flat-out better, and by no small margin. The absolute best you can squeeze out of a Starforge (mirrored gear) is going to get easily surpassed with really just a handful of exalts if you're using a stat stick. And then there's the fact that any other phys-only build is going to be abysmal with any other weapon...

I just think it's been long enough to where they have pulled away from pure phys damage that it should be viable and with build diversity enough to make it fun. Rather than saying "Okay I want Physical, I'm going to go with Spectral Throw or Cyclone" it's just depressing
This is clearly a focus in 3.5

3.5 teasers/news include:
• RIPStatSticks
• 138% master crafted phys mod
• Buffs to unique phys bows
• Impale
• Additional not fully revealed buff skill that stacks when you impale(Dread Banner).
I'm not sure GGG ever considered pure phys a real archetype. Physical, of course, but pure? Why would you not use hatred, herald of ash, added fire?

They gave us a brutality gem and a starforge, but other than that, everything is pointing at "why would even bother?".
