New Player? - Here's why I prefer Arc Traps (Saboteur) Over Arc Witch

@Moses: To say, Arc selfcast is a noob trap is rather fail and ignorant. I do not like that statement, because maybe just take the time and read enkis thread?

listen man,I don't know who enkis here, and all of a sudden he comes to this thread and makes it about him,I rarely visit the forums and only came here because well, the idea of this thread started out when I see a lot of people coming to my stream and asking for advice, it really started happening a lot lately and I think it has something to do with Diablo's failure to deliver at last blizzcon. #DontYouGuysHavePhones #Never4Get

All these guys coming in with failed arc witch, they all complain they die,some of them complain they die during story,some in early maps,I look at their gear I see the problems and I help them with advidce and then I recommend them to try out arc traps.


I started out as an arc witch myself man,I am not saying its a build that cannot work,I'm not saying you shouldn't play it,all I'm saying is that traps would be better and I stand by it. So I thought I would let players that come to the witch forum know my opinion.

Look man I'm really not trying to pick a fight here with anyone.If anything it is you implying that who is being disrespectful.
I've said time and time again,that I am not against arc witch,but I recommend players to try out traps and see that it is better.
Reason this was posted in a witch section was because well,Diablo players remember the DIABLO2 LIGHTNING SORC and thus think that in POE things work the same,treditionally they would be drawn to make a witch with arc - this reminds them the diablo 2 lightning sorc,and I would argue that this has a lot to do with the fact your arc witch thread is so highly commentated and such.

You knew exactly what you were doing when posting this thread with this title in the witch section.

Why was this moved to Gameplay help and Discussion though? The title sounds unfair to me for this forum section. This thread looks more like advertising a certain build rather than objective help. I'd place it in the builds subforum. Did Support move it?

It was in the Witch section, which it was grossly inappropriate for. It either needs to be here or in the Shadow section, since it advertises Sabo.

I always kind of knew the Witch wouldn't be a good idea for something like this. The Witch is pretty specialized. Necromancer you want Minions, Elementalist you want a combination of elements, Occultist you want Chaos. If I was going to do a single element skill with the Witch I would probably do Occultist and skip the Chaos mods in the Ascendancy. But it would still be better with Shadow or Templar.
