I wonder if there will be a condition to stop desecrate/unearth corpses from counting here? Otherwise poets pen just got another buff in the vd/unearth builds

Yep, the corpse must be ignited. Unearth corpses do not burn.

What they need is a flask, or a modifier to an existing flask, that will recover charges while foes are alive, but not on death.

Such as a flask that recovers 1 charge per second while an enemy is affected by your damage over time, or 'on hit'. This will help a lot in big boss fights during periods where there are no adds.
The only downside would be that they do not accrue charges on enemy death.

They already have this with surgeon flasks, and pathfinder :) and the gain charges when you get crit on ones
