Off Topic - Hellgate: London is now on Steam - Forum

I’ve always wanted to play Hellgate. Read the books in my teens or twenties, whenever, and enjoyed them. Tried playing it two or three times, and what was in the game was just nothing like what was in my head from the books. If they gave it a remaster and console port, I’d probably give it another shot. Spoiler Not trying to plug my favorite game, but.. Doom really hit the mark where the old mmo missed. The books are fantasy ad absurdum, in much the same vein as WH40k novels. The environment is reduced to such extremes that it’d be difficult to imagine oneself there; therefore, everything is extreme. Quite epic, in a way so few games manage within their mechanical limitations. Devolving Wilds Land “T, Sacrifice Devolving Wilds: Search your library for a basic land card and reveal it. Eh. I wasn’t referring to appearance, though now that I think about it issues with pacing were likely due to having a shitty pc. Can’t blame the game for that. The increased number of kills required makes it feel less 'go kill ten rats' MMO-ish. The increased monster density and aggression is perfect. And it combines the classes down so that Templar has both Blademaster and Guardian, Hunter has both Engineer and Marksman, and Cabalist has both Evoker and Summoner.
