Why would you Scour it versus just chaos it repeatedly? I feel like there's some mod mechanics I don't fully recollect.

You can scour it then alc it and then, if the rolls from the alc are good, start to chaos it.
Remember its a 6 linked the hardest part is to get one the chances of a good Variety of rolls are quiete good.

i think you dont really understand how chaos work....alchy=magic to rare with random mods.chaos is just rerolling the rare with random mods.basicly scouring+alchy or just use chaos do the same exact thing.you might confuse yourself with alteration to get 2 good magic mods then regal to make the item rare+1 more random mod but you still got the 2 mods you got before and then you can just exalte to add extra random mods and again,with ur previous mods untouched.

Where do you get the idea that Freezing Pulse, at that level, and with those supports on it, isn't strong? You know that FP is one of the strongest casting skills, right?

Or is level 65 still "mid range?" Hehe

Mid range in terms of the Range of the skill e.g. Fp will only hit targets like 10 meters in front of you :)

I have a crapload of projectile speed, so now freezepulse hits quite a ways away.

Edit: And to avoid a huge wall of quotes: Alchemy goes from normal to rare, regal goes from magic to rare. I'm going to save up chaos orbs and chaos it repeatedly. All is good.

When an item rolls stats it does a few things you may not know. Well, one thing.
It chooses the stat, then the 10pt range it's going to land on, then where within that range it is going to actually roll. It looks like this:

1.) Picks life
2.) (mine landed on) 30-39 life range
3.) (mine finished on) 39.

So it's at the top of it's range. The same thing happened with my cold resistance roll, and honestly the lightning too. Except the lightning is in the middle, apposed to the cold resistance which rolled very low.

TL;DR: you could divine this all day and never roll higher life.

Ha, im in the same boat. not 6l yet but soon.
i chaosed a result with 28 chaos resi and 600 ev. (wow that felt so baaaad)
now im stuck with this and i am not sure if should chaos it again? allready burned around 40 chaos on it :/

Honestly you shouldn't have exalted that at all, the 2 very low resist rolls made the armor all it had.
