Can we talk a bit about new Poison compared to old double dipping?
I'm also quite certain that Poison Assassin is the only build that can reach close to 1 million DPS and still have 5k life with 1 ex gear. In actuality it may seem not that impressive because of the ramp up time, but yeah if you just want pure DPS number, poison is still the cheapest way to do it.

i do think poison is a cheap way to get dps, but im pretty sure you're being conservative with your number
i mean the build i play almost every league now gets started well under 1ex and has well over 1 mil SHAPER dps. i also end up with significantly more hp than 5k, which is not that much anyway. but anyway i do actually agree with you. poison is a very cheap way to get crazy damage, but #1 poison does feel pretty bad other than assassin and #2 you're almost always a glass cannon. assassin plays well in delves because of the crazy sustain you can get, but on kill effects are notoriously bad vs bosses, and poison is notoriously bad vs phasing bosses. delve is basically the best league for poison assassins, especially with the poison weapons you can easily craft, but otherwise they fall flat. sure, you can kill shaper and uber elder but its because those are mechanics based fights and once you learn the mechanics you can kill them on EVERY build. getting to shaper and uber elder on a poison assassin build, though, feels like garbage because other than on kill sustain you are squish as hell. |

all you need to do 1mil cheap is one of the skills with bullshit scaling, molten strike, barrage, BV, bladeflurry, double strike, mines/traps.
Poisons pretty great on the cheap though too but shadow defensively blows which doesn't feel good. |

Guess Poison is a neat way to deal damage with Scourge Arrow while charging up for the next shot. Not sure if it worth the investment.

scourge arrow is insane on all levels right now. poison, flat damage, whatever. it is just a beast.

yup exactly. its actually the reason why i can't use scourge arrow. i can't stand how it works around terrain, but especially doorways. otherwise i'd use nothing but the skill, i love it.

Scourge is great but it needs to be as its a channel that does nothing while you wind it up unlike pretty much every other channel, it also feels absolutely awful without sufficient attack speed.
I also suffered with the doorway problem too :p It definitely wasn't a league starter HC ability, I regret it. |

" For Molten Strike you need the Helmet enchant and some additional scaling like Nebuloch to reach that kind of damage cheaply. The Helmet enchant is 1 ex alone. Barrage is even worse. Without Dying Sun, your damage is cut in half. Helmet enchant is 20% of your damage. Then +1 Arrow quiver. All are expensive, especially at the start of the league. It is the same reason why wanders are expensive. With Miners you need the low life version to reach 1 mil DPS. I have played GC Miner myself and was not be able to reach 1 Mil number within budget. I don't think BC can reach 1 mil DPS easily, show me wrong. Fire trap stacking flat added damage build: yes, I forgot about that. Blade Flurry / Double Strike with Shaper statstick: yes, need some good statstick and good weapon and flasks though. I guess double strike champion could do it, that shit is broken damage wise. |

" And yet people still play Freezing Pulse / Lightning Arrow / Elehit etc x)). Have you tried not adding additional projectiles to it, but scaling with 1 arrow and Mirrage Archer? I think Hopeschredder Scourge Arrow is the best way to scale it right now. |
