Kitava Act10 - any counter to fire breath?

Today I lost may first HC SSF character (Cyclone) to Kitava (Act 10).
It happened in the last stage of the fight when Kitava set the whole arena on fire. I lost HP very fast and failed to reach my safety-portal. I had chosen the Abberath and Arakaali powers for this fight. In addition I crafted a Basalt Flask with Burning-Immunity. (In case that the fire will cover the physical-degen-spells) My questions: => Does the Abberath-power really protect from Kitavas burning ground? => Does a flask with the "Dousing" suffix really protect from Kitavas burning effect? Until today, I thought that Pantheon-Powers and flasks are reliable defenses against Kitava's fire breath How do you - my fellow HC SSF players - prepare for this fight? There's a tiny pixel on the top left of Kitava where you can stand without taking any damage. Don't panic and move though, just have faith in the pixel and ye shall be rewarded.

" A ruby flask can help knock the degen down quite a bit - I usually roll a 20% extra duration one before that fight. Thanks for asking though, I never heard about this 'tiny pixel' spot - I'll have to find a video of this before I can trust it though! (not doubting anyone, but knowing me I'll be in the wrong spot and die) | |

" Knowledge is key. Always try to keep him on screen and watch what he does, all his attacks have different animations, be able to tell what is what and how to react and you should be fine. For the burning ground, top opposite corner of where he starts is safe, run there asap. I myself find him easier on melee than ranged, after you know the fight. Prob though because my last melee chars were Jugg, good life pool and regen helps.
