Who is GOD mentioned so much during vanilla game (pre- FoO), since he is suddenly replaced by the GODS of Oriath.

" Path of Exile depicts lands inhabited by different peoples, who have different religions. The citizens of Oriath worship Innocence as their god. The Karui revere Tukohama, Ngamahu, Hinekora, and others. A Templar worshiping the gods of the Karui, for example, would be considered blasphemous. I find it difficult to justify optional purchases to support a Tencent-owned development studio that declines to provide customers Technical Support, regardless of how many thousands of euros that customer has spent...

While the Gods may have been asleep for a long ass time, they did once establish tenets of their religion and through texts and traditions maintained throughout the ages, they remained more or less revered. Though with time and without guidance from the patron god(s) those tenets and traditions can become twisted and deteriorated as can be seen in Oriath.
As the relation between Gods and believers is mutually influential, this deterioration affected Innocence. And it wouldn't surprise me if the sleeping presence of Kitava in Oriath did the rest of corrupting the faith, inspiring greed, selfishness, gluttony and opulence. "Into the Labyrinth!

Totally down with a lore forum. It would be nerdy enough to keep most of the trolls away and some fun conversations might happen.
