The beautiful country of Kazahrus

I never understood the hype around GoT, i watched a few series and came to the conclusion thats nothing new, been there seen that, could watch historychannel and get the same stories, straight out copied.
Small example: Magdeburgs blood wedding.

This whole "blame it on muh ruschia" doesn´t bite here.

Can someone post some pictures of the landscape please, i heared its beautiful ?

Always happy to do a bit of armchair travelling.

That part of the world:

SOVIET MOSAIC MURAL, GEORGIA
This incomplete tangible circle line is a monumental mosaic with pictures of Russian and Greek fables in the interior. The circle is incomplete to indicate the unknown future. The Russian-Georgian Friendship monument was built by the Russians dedicated to their 100 years of friendship.

BUZLUDZHA MONUMENTAL MOSAIC, BULGARIA
The Buzludzha Monument in Bulgaria was designed by Guéorguy Stoilov, in 1981 to reflect the secret meetings of the Bulgarian social democratic parties. This monument was abandoned in 1991, it stands now decayed and falling into ruins. Many of the colorful mosaic murals remain today, the artworks depict various scenes featuring the construction of a socialist society. This monument was built at a cost of 14.186 million Bulgarian leva.

Russia:

Lake Baikal, Siberia.

Tunguska, Eastern Siberia.

Desert, Eastern Siberia.

Some of these things I just found, like the murals. The rest I know by name and reading a bit about them. Beautiful, indeed.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado

Here is "realistic" movie which can make a point without inventing anything. After all, "motion works" can be still art, be entertaining, invoke thoughts and to have added value for the viewers, and still make enough money.

Alas, vast majority of today entertain industry is made just for money and propaganda. I'm just sick of it.

P.S. "Blindspot" can really go eat shit! Fucking garbage.
Yeah, Baikal Lake is even more awesome in real life, trust me.

OP, do what I do and just don't watch TV. It is a waste of time and bad for your brain.

I'm willing to bet I can name TV shows that are more mentally and intellectual stimulating, more emotional engaging and enriching, than PoE, to which you've clearly devoted a lot of time and effort. So, yknow. Maybe don't be a fucking hypocrite next time. :P

Not a hypocrite. I don't spend anywhere near the amount of time playing PoE as the average person does watching TV (stupid or otherwise). As you know, there are these things called books .... which are better than TV. I spend more time reading than playing games overall in an average week. Although I do surely waste time watching movies which are also frequently stupid. Trying to keep a lid on that.

your PoE play-time, which HAS to be significant to get that many challenges.

Nope. I wish I had more leisure time for lots of activities but some people have to work for a living.

You sure you ain't confusing me with some dinosaur? j/k

Ok, aside from you telling Charan about things called books, which is pretty funny, how did you come to be at Lake Baikal, kolyaboo?

Frozen Black Sea

From Northern Friend account on Instagram. The second one is a library, not sure of the others. They can be translated when logged in there.

I think that TV can do things that movies cannot, given their limited running time and massive production costs.

I just finished "Sharp Objects", on tv, which was wonderful in large part because it took its sweet time in developing the story.

Mind you, I have not watched commercial TV for years now. I don't have time to waste dealing with execrable ads that break into the story and wreck the flow every ten minutes. Fuck that noise.

It is funny because it is ironic. And unexpected.

Well as a child, my family was exiled to Siberia for bad mouthing Brezhnev's eyebrows.

Not really but the real story is much more recent and boring. Tourist on a train quite a few years ago, but not as long ago as Brezhnev.

Ironically I've heard that cash-grab Sicario sequel doesn't come even close to the masterpiece that was the first movie, so I'm not even that interested.

Ironically, you can't judge anything until you actually watched it.
I understand you feel as demigod at least, but you are not, believe me.

I watched both Sicario and find them both fine.

I liked the sequel cos it sends the message: Americans go anywhere in the world, do as they please, make incredible mess, and when the things get ugly, they abandon the ship. They were never there.
LOL, so when your: "This is WHY we have professional reviewers, and trailers, and synopses, and friends who can pass on their opinions." will tell you to jump from the cliff, you will actually jump, right? Damn boy, you are lost.
