Any reason NOT to delete a character?

Besides moving all items/cosmetics to stash so they don't get deleted, is there any reason NOT to delete a character? Any benefits of having 10-15 halfway extra characters sitting around? I usually mess with a build, play a bunch, delete, then start over. Thoughts? Tips? Thanks in advance!

o_O you lose progression (skill points, quests) on that character even if you move all items/cosmetics away

there is no such reason you have to delete your char if its getting full 24/24

When I die, usually I delete. I keep 3 characters that I usually play in HC. If I want to test a build pre-new-league. Besides testing, there's no reason to keep them, I like to reuse the same names.

I thought you couldn't delete a character that had cosmetics equipped? Maybe I'm wrong about that.

A reason I don't delete characters is if I plan on playing the same or a similar build in the next league. I will often test things out in standard first to see if I like the way a build plays. For example, I'm playing arc totems this league for the first time in a long time and it was helpful to have a templar that was level 90 and had done GC totems last league. I just respec'd a bit and tested out arc totems to see how I liked them. It's helpful to do that with already geared and spec'd toons. So I try and keep at least a few characters in the 90's around for testing.

I like keeping one in each league so I can access the stashes here on the forums.
