So there is no methods to buy old supporter packs
|
Just to put it into context -- There once was a time GGG offered a Valentine's Day exclusive weapon effect.. It was beloved by all. The next year, since it was such a huge success - GGG decided to put it for sale again. Everyone raged 'WHY NO EXCLUSIVE GGG?? REEEEEEE!!!!!"
GGG apologized and decided against doing the annual sale the next year. The End. |

POE might be blocked but email isn't.
If you are in a situation where you can't buy a specific supporter pack at the time, you could probably reach out to GGG to setup a payment plan. They can flag your account and give you a certain amount of time to pay off the supporter pack. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285
FeelsBadMan Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF. |

" you would think this , but no the support team is completely useless. There are no payment plans, they simply tell you to buy the 5,10,20$ packs. Everything is still behind a paywall, soo GGG should allow you to do a custom plan to get the support pack that is out of date. It is good customer service, and would still be exclusively behind that specific pack. |

I understand supporter pack envy. I'm missing some myself that I sort of wish I had bought but they were for leagues I skipped. I personally don't think they should mess with the exclusivity of previous packs by opening them up for sale again. They were for sale for a short time to incentivize people to by them at that time as part of those specific leagues. If you missed out that's too bad but it's not fair to open them back up again. All the people that bought them during the window complied with the restriction. I don't think it would be fair to do what you're asking. Furthermore, I seriously doubt GGG would ever do that. The player rebellion would be significant.
So, sorry, but no. I would strongly fight against any such move by GGG. Now, if going forward they want to say packs are not going to be exlusive that would be fine but they shouldn't go back on their word. POE Serenity Prayer: GGG, grant me the serenity to accept the RNG I cannot change,
the courage to challenge any unbalanced content, and the wisdom to avoid the forums. Mad: "Oh, it's simple and if you insist... I just think you're a dick. That's all." QFT: 4TRY4C&4NO |

" ...I want to frame this. Especially the part in bold. There are a couple of other things to consider alongside this. 1) Companies demonstrate integrity by sticking to the promises they make, even when doing so wouldn't be the most financially sound option. While re-enabling older packs would certainly make GGG more money, part of the reason some of us give them money at all is because they demonstrate that level of integrity. Businesses have succeeded and failed on the basis of their integrity - it's no small thing. 2) It's actually not bad marketing practice to get new people to consider buying items by making them available only once. In so doing, GGG also has impetus to keep putting out a quality product. 3) From the side of frontline customer service that isn't the customer, it eases workload and stress. Imagine Windows ME was still supported by Microsoft, and you were the guy who had to hear the complaints. Now, would I like a Kiwi pet instead of just a Rhoa pet? Absolutely. However, I appreciate that it's not possible for the exact same reasons I appreciate that no one else can get a Rhoa pet. |

"The original Valintine's effect was not advertised as exclusive, and when it was released we were upfront about the fact it might become available in future years. People were still upset, because they had come to assume it had been exclusive, since we'd stopped selling it a short while after the associated holiday - it was the first non-exclusive microtransaction which wasn't permanently available. The previous supporter packs were advertised as exclusive. Last edited by Mark_GGG#0000 on Sep 5, 2018, 8:38:11 PM

" I stand corrected. The hypothesis is still relevant to the OP though :) Hi Mark! <3 Last edited by neonive#4501 on Sep 5, 2018, 10:14:46 PM

" Every year, Tencent will hold a vote to let players vote their favorite items which are exclusive and no longer in the markets for a certain time period. And the one with the highest votes will go back to the market. It gives people second chance to buy the gaming item they missed before. This kind of votes happen in a lot of Tencent games, and now Tencent is one of the biggest game companies in the world with its good win-win marketing strategy. People who already have these exclusive items will not argue about it, because the votes explain everything, it is what we call democracy, and it is people's will and choice. " This is a really good example of how a minority of people, who use their twisted understanding to replace GGG's initial intention of Valentine's Day's promotion, these people force the company to change its marketing plan and to apologize, just because of their own interest of some non-tradable game items. This phenomenon exists in many client-company relationships, and an apology from the company is not the only way to solve it. |

" This is actually 100% untrue. I did a payment plan for the Highgate pack at $1100 USD when it was getting ready to leave the store. In my opinion, GGG goes out of it's way to help with things like this. |
