Should Delve Stay?

Let's see what changes GGG makes to it with patching. As of right now, absolutely not. I gave up on Delve league after only a couple hours on day 2. The mechanics were driving me crazy with the flares and the crawler line of sight. Will come back to the league if they fix the issues it's got and give it another shot though.
it needs a bit of fine tuning but hell yeah id love to see it added into the base game. im worried that if by the time theyve ironed out most of the kinks, the league might be ending. but something like this deserves to be a rolled into the standard game. it has great potential, is a nice change of pace and its kinda like a game within a game. how could one not want an infinite dungeon crawler as a completely optional part of their game?

I think it could stay, it needs a little work sure, but i like it.

No. Every mechanic is terrible.

Azurite = crap, leveling cart = crap and darkness = crap.

1min runs drives me crazy. Killing trash that spawns in waves is boring, problem with harb league.

Standing around waiting for monsters like the nerfed breaches we no longer bother to finish
its fantastic. It needs to stay, I think it will stay.

It needs fixed and I think they will do what it takes to fix it and get it to where it needs to be.

100% yes.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
It definitely should stay. It's fun enough even when staying mostly on the crawler's path, and I expect it to be even better when the flare and dynamite improvements land later this week.

I'm not sure how it should be rebalanced for standard so it doesn't dominate other content. In the league farming sulphite is easy since it's pretty much guaranteed to show up in every area, sometimes multiple deposits of it. On the other hand the sulphite capacity is low enough that you can only do a few delves with a full stock. If the occurrence of sulphite is simply reduced like has happened with many other leagues (prophecy, essence and abyss come to mind), it creates pressure to go delving once you reach full suĺphite. That can be disruptive to gameplay.

Perhaps the sulphite storage cap could simply be removed. That would both remove the pressure of being forced to do delves and allow azurite to be focused on other upgrades, leaving room to do other delves than just farming azurite.
Yes.

I feel like they'll make it a lot better to play through the league, and it would be a shame if it weren't included in some fashion.

If you got near full sulfite through a whole act instead of basically every 2-3 zones as you're progressing, I think that would be enough. You could ignore it and dive deep at endgame, or smooth out your gear etc by exploring it as you go.

I've always been hungry for something like another game's "Adventure Mode" which allows you to skip the story, because it's just a long and boring tutorial at this point that feels slow, and some builds have difficulty. I'm slaughtering content and self-rushing on a Templar, while perhaps taking a bit longer to advance overall since I'm Delving for gear and extra EXP- but, it's a whole heck of a lot more fun to me this way, and the general consensus seems to be that Delve is good, even if it needs a bit of polish.

INCURSION on the other hand, seems like it would be fine as a near-endgame experience. Many people were just skipping it as they lvl'd as they had difficulty actually improving the temple, and early attempts lowered the average level of the temple. It was an awesome mechanic, but more fun at endgame. That IS being added to the base game eventually, so I don't see why not Delve.

Also, a temporary Delve race league where you just dig around in the mine would be sick. Similar to the old Roguelike ones perhaps, but not just The Ledge over and over.
If they remove sulfite requirements completely, then sure. I like it.

But... I'm not going to play it much anymore because of the sulfite. It makes me spend so much time outside of the mine I feel like I ought to just be in standard.

Delve needs to stay and be deeply integrated into the game. It adds so much to both the leveling process and end game experience but knowing GGG this will be another shelved league.

Having both Bestiary and Incursion shelved for the time being or indefinitely makes it feel like the game is not growing anymore.

Only if they get their lights from a country other than China (Tencent is supplying The Crawler's lights that it strings behind as it moves). These cheap Chinese crappy lights need to be replaced with high quality LED illumination to keep out the dark. That and GGG needs to stop with the f'cking starvation for sulphite to upgrade The Crawler's sulphite capacity and increase it's illumination. Finally, GGG needs to get the damn Crawler EMP shielded so the light's electronics don't get shorted out. So stupid, boring, frustrating, annoying, etc.

IF GGG chooses to not hotfix the starvation for sulphite then this expansion is another failure.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Really hoping it is added to core it adds a new challenge and "something else" to do at end game other than the same old maps.

Its the most fun Ive had with POE in at least a year...part of it is probably that im playing SSF this league...really changes how you play the game.
I've lost control of the controls...
