I think this whole darkness thing needs to just fuck off. Delve as a dungeon crawler is pretty fun, but the darkness mechanic itself is a constantly frustrating, unintuitive pile of rat feces. The monsters are invulnerable in darkness? DUMB. The flares don't always work, and lose what effectiveness they have as you go deeper? DUMB. The fractured rock walls that you are supposed to blow a hole in are not on the mini-map until you have your nose in the crack? DUMB. The cost in Sulfite/Azurite increases the deeper you go, so that you can NEVER get enough to actually have any kind of surplus with which to craft/upgrade? DUMB. The crawler doesn't always follow the track, but just takes a random turn into what looks like a doorway, thereby cutting off your light while you are surrounded by monsters who suddenly become invulnerable, making it impossible to make a hole through them to get back to the door that your crawler disappeared through? REALLY? DUMB.
there are many things I like that GGG does that others may not like. I love the lab. I really liked Bestiary League. I loved Harbinger League. I love Delves in concept. But this constant need to punish players not with difficulty, but rather frustration, is really a game breaking flaw. Just ditch the darkness. All of it. I hate this mechanic as much if not more than Shags hated nets. I am quite frequently not so miserable as it would be wise to be - T.H. " This has been driving me up the wall. They want us to go into the darkness to get all those hidden loots, but all the mobs are invulnerable. Mobs block doorways as you mentioned as the Crawler moves along its merry way. If they're worried about us leeching through the darkness, don't make mobs immune. Instead give mobs leech immunity in the darkness. Frustrating as hell. |

Useful information, thanks. Also, side tip - the amount of azurite droped is penalized/reduced if your level is too high comparing to area level

Yep, you gonna need Resistances to the "Darkness" here. This is one very special kind of Darkness. Lol.

Honestly looking for goddamn breakable walls is about the least fun I have had in years playing a video game. I have spent the last hour trying to find the wall for a currency delve, none of the freaking zones around have the freaking wall to connect to it.

The major problem i have is area reset at death. What i have done is scout the darkness looking for fractured walls without using flares then once nailed down come back with flares and dyno. But adter death area layout changes slightly complicating the ability to get back there again.....it stinks. It is as though we are in the lab with only one life....

There's a new clue out... all rooms either have 1,3 or 4 exits. If you see a room that has 2 exits, there has to be a hidden path out of it.

The 2 node thingy whatever doesnt always seem to work even if you can find some nodes since i have a chest in one place with 1 or 3 nodes not 2 and theres like 40 different paths that could have the hidden door it looks like
