fractured walls?
I'm having a similar problem. As the crawler was moving past the point where I expect the fractured wall to be I saw a brief message pop up mentioning dynamite. After reaching and clearing the destination I tracked back to the point where I saw the message, and sure enough the map showed that my current position was immediately left of where the fracture wall ought to be.
I wasted eight flares and six dynamite trying to blast a hole because there is absolutely no indication where the fractured wall is. When I moved further away from the points I tried blasting, the map shows my position at one of close by way-point (i.e. where the crawler is, or its previous position) and not at the mid-point. Worst POE game experience by far. Makes me want to ignore this league completely. |

There has *got* to be something they could do to make this feature work. There is no tutorial and finding a fractured wall is the second damn quest. You need to destroy 100 for the trophy point and I have yet to discover 1.
You pretty much need a minimum of 2 explosives to take out a wall. x100 walls. x 40 azurite per wall. 4000 azurite to destroy 100 walls you can't find and which are super uncommon (40 waypoints right, left, and forward of start, and I've seen one potential area) - and that's not even counting upgrading the explosives so you ONLY need 2. Oh, and flares, which you'll expend about 50 of per door. Figure another 5000 azurite for that part. So call it 9k azurite. Average drop in depth 15 areas? 20. Could we.... maybe... add more? Make them shimmer like the crap loot boxes in the dark? Put something the hell in them that's worth the 80ish averaged azurite to bother opening? Once again, there is no math - only Zuul. |

The right way is ignore fractured walls now. I found one wall, destroyed it, but nothing happened (except the task completed), nothing behind wall, only a empty room. The secret room still unlinked in the map.

My first experience with a wall excluding one I skipped because I had no azurite and no dynamite or flares: long story ahead

Following crawler through a long ass trail, I notice theres a fractured wall so I go briefly into darkness. I have 0 flare and 2 dynamites so I just toss a dynamite and being scared af run back to cart while getting attacked by invincible monsters, not knowing that the wall needs more than 1 dynamite sometimes.
Since the cart doesn't stop for you and keeps rolling ahead, theres absolutely no way I am doing the fractured walls while the cart is rolling and hasn't, since by the time IF i grab all the loot and head back there's extra length I have to travel to reach cart which could just kill me, and I don't even know for sure how deep the wall itself is or how much deeper the loot is beyond the wall, and how many mobs are waiting to ambush you, etc. After like 2 minute i reach destination and now finish the encounter or whatever and now i gotta go back to encampment to craft some flares (no and not dynamite assumed I already busted the wall cuz I am a noob and didn't do research) So now I go back in and gotta run a whole minute to get back to the wall, i go in and luckily I had 1 more dynamite left cuz i run in with my tiny radius flares and almost panic throw them when I expected to run through the door and am getting wailed on by monsters, run into my flare, and toss my last dynamite at the wall. Well the wall is now at like 20% life and I am out of dynamite. At this point my flasks are mostly gone from the darkness, going back to the mine encampment doesn't refill them and last I checked going to town and back to encampment resets the mine and im already committed to this stupid wall. So i run back all the way back to the cart and good thing there are enough monsters on the path to fill my flasks up to 2 sips each. I craft 1 dynamite, and only have enough azurite for like 1 more flare... So I enter the mine again, and run all the way to the point closest to the wall again, bomb the wall, retreat, lightning warp as far in as I can, toss a flare by treasure and get wailed on by mobs while degening and waiting for the flare to light up, then can finally fight back and pick up loot, but gotta go fast cuz these stupid flares last 15 seconds and you need them for round trip (luckily this wall wasn't too deep in darkness) and luckily i had panicked flask since didn't find any seething yet and that let me survive the darkness and come out with a fossil worth 1alchemy orb. Long story? Yeah, it was a long ordeal. tl;dr

It was tedious, took like 3 round trips along a path with nothing, scary, not worth, and im never doing this again unless I know I have lots of flares and dynamite on hand and the wall was spotted really close to the end destination of cart.

I took a break from PoE last league because I was burned out of this game and was super excited to come back for this league because it looked so fun, which it is... but this fractured wall thing is extremely frustrating. I've pretty much wasted all the azurite i've acquired from mining to find these walls to get to a currency encounter and haven't found a single one yet.

Casual player here, as in i have some limited amount to play computer games and i invest some time to have fun in this game. I rarely post on forums. This league was very promising, the concept seemed so exciting. New mechanics added into the game, the mine seemed like an interesting place overall. I took the time to write this post out of frustration. Basically what is in my mind right now is: "Guys, come on, really? I mean, really guys?". The fractured wall thing is one of the most frustrating things i encountered in this game. Ever. See a place where it says i have to blow up a fractured wall to get there, it seems like a very rich azurite vine. I go on that road to the place next to it, finish the event and backtrack on the thin light line to where i thought it would be. I end up going in a few corners, throwing a few flares and end up eventually dying. No wall. Rinse and repeat on a new layout. Same outcome, no wall. Do it 2 more times, with 3 flares each time. Eventually after 20 minutes of buying flares, taking the same long road back and dying I give up. Dear developers, i am not saying that it isn't fun to explore, but the mechanics are bad. There should be some clear instructions on how to get to those places, on how much you have left of your flare, there should be a hint or something. Save for the "venture in the dark on your own" places where you go and explore to find something, these fractured walls should be marked like "take this route", even if it is through darkness or something. Please, make this league work. I really enjoy the concept, but it lacks so much in this mechanic. Thank you! |

I upgraded the maximum number of flare to 5 and tried to reach, through darkness, a wall to destroy. I hopefully found it. These walls have specific icon on map/radar (found it blue), and you are able to detect them even without light if you are at least 1 screen away. Two dynamites were needed to destroy the wall (for a depth 42), the way was leading to a lvl3 azurite vault. Flare are not working all the time however, I get panic more than once. Finally exited to character selection just after destroyed the wall. Nice parallel content to POE I think. Should be maintain! Thanks teams Have fun guys! |

Found walls, already 30+ destroyed. BUT ... can't access any of those rooms yet, even if i destroyed ALL walls that i could find. When i try to make the same road again, i get stuck before one of the nodes. It seems to me that this game is becoming more and more just for a few selected players that in a few hours have full gear and than just fly trough the game. After 97 hours and hundreds and hundreds of fusings didn't have at least a 6L weapon (just wasted another 315 on it). The mines are still a mess, every 2-3 nodes i have to go to my hideout and return, so i can click on the next node. Since non of those problems are not fixed, i only ask that i won't see those "discounted" items, because you won't see another cent from me from now on.

There is a very simple way to find the walls blocking the path to nodes that have no path on the map. The chariot needs a clear path to run foward, that is it will not go over other paths. Go from each pathable node around the node with no path, and go in each direction until you find a path that goes deep.
Sometimes I need to flare a few times even when maxing my run with a quicksilver before reaching the wall, but most of the time it will start really close to a node, and not be a random path in the middle of 2 nodes. Also, it's almost never the "closest" node to it, it can be rather far off, but you have the advantage to know that path never cross. It's a bit hard to explain with just words :D The wall you need to blow will be quite evident in the end, as most wall opens only a small room that leads to no where. Another exemple: https://imgur.com/rboNhsL I know the path has to be one of the red nodes, so once I unlock all of them, I'd jump to each one, and go through path where I have no light lines, until I find one that is not an instant dead end, then follow it using flares when I get high darkenss stack.
