They pretty much used the old % values applied to a character using a 30% block shield without any block investment whatsoever and made them flat, or ?
Seems kind of silly really, because those players were not using those block items in the first place for a very easy reason : they were not worth taking. Now they are not worth taking for them ( obviously still ), but not really worth taking for anybody else either. -____-" It only makes them "better" for DW and 2H, which don't need it because the whole point of DW and 2H is to trade survivability for damage in the first place !! ( in an ideally "balanced" game of course ). The worse part is having different values for "legacy" items. They could not leave "full legacy" items so instead they slightly make the numbers higher for old items ? like WTF ? It only means that you already know that this change is terrible and people are going to complain, well ... no shit !? Like seriously, those values need to be buffed by like ... 1.5 at least imho. Spell block was not even the meta or anything ... SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

20-30% spell block for rathpith 25% for stone of lazwhar This is still a nerf Need more brains, exile?

" The fact that you say that makes me think you haven't actually read the patch notes. They didn't only change the numbers, they also changed what the stat actually does. In current patch (before Delve), those items grant x% of attack block is applied to spell block chance. That means that if you take a naked character, and stick a Rathpith Globe and a Stone of Lazhwar on it, you end up with about 25% chance to block spells. This is how the game currently works and has always worked. If they went with the numbers you just gave, it would pretty much be a massive buff, because you could slap 50 to 55% spell block on any character by giving up shield and amulet slot, which it cannot currently do. You'd need +25% chance to block from other sources (passive tree, other item slots sacrificed) to get comparable results. Take the witch cluster ( +7% spell block for 3 points ) and those 2 items in the versions that you are proposing and ... 52% spell block for those 2 slots, this might be a bit too strong ? So it's not that "easy" of a change to go from %B -> %SB conversion to flat values ... but still, the current outcome have too low values imho. I could see 20% for Stone le Lazwhar tho, not sure. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Well right now these items give max spell block when you have max block and after nerf they give less than 30% lol

Introduces chaos damage bullet hell in incursions.
Reduces spell block, the most effective defence aside from Run! Well played GGG, well played. I mean, Incursion will be an afterthought in base game anyway, but those high tier incursions will be even more fun now. |

That's a 60% nerf, not 70% ( and it required quite some investment to get to 75% normal block chance in the first place ). The other numbers .... no clue. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
