I can imagine the Nascar crowd aren't too fussed about not having Type Two diabetes lifestyle materials at their events.

It's more about the fact that you should NEVER be liable for what someone else did (unless you influenced that person to do whatever is liable).

It's a messed up system when something like this happen.

I'm glad that you're also against reparations for American slavery.

Legit one of the top comments I've ever read on this forum. I almost spit out my drink.

if people are so offended by a word to the point of affecting the career of the persons son who used it, the entire next generation, you got some really messed up priorities

Not even remotely the same.

No, the descendant of slavers shouldn't be persecuted for the actions of their ancestors. However, if there is still an industry that existed back then that used slave labor, then sure, reparations should be made.

Government included.

Chuffed. Thanks.

To be clear, I'm more sympathetic to the Nascar patrons here:

"
Bloomberg reports the diabetes market made $35 billion worldwide last year, with $22 billion in the U.S. alone. The news agency also estimates those figures could grow close to $60 billion near the end of the decade.

With stakes that high, the fight for a slice of the diabetes market is getting more competitive...

"
Evidence, including large-scale randomised control trials, shows type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed in up to 58 per cent of cases by maintaining a healthy weight, being physically active and following a healthy eating plan.

But the cynical fuckers at Lilly know how hard the above are when the culture and environment flog the exact opposite, and when it's take drugs or change lifelong habits, they know what the overwhelming majority of people will do.

So yeah, leave the patrons to enjoy their beer and car racing.

Oh, so what you mean is some people should absolutely be held liable for things other people with the same skin color did, even if they never influenced the offender, but they shouldn't be shamed for it — merely billed for it.

But what if they don't pay the fine, as it were? Shamed, I suppose. Although perhaps imprisoned.
