Vendor recipe progress
I spend a lot of time trying to optimize vendor recipes.
Especially with selling quality items for Whetstone/Armour's Scrap, etc. It would be great if the vendor would show the progress for vendor recipes that have been achieved or are very close to achieving. I understand showing progress on all existing vendor recipes would get cluttery. But there could be a tooltip on the pile of Whetstones you get that shows the total % of quality that is currently in the vendor sell inventory. So it's easy to find the optimal item set to sell without wasting any quality. Or with the full rare sets recipe I'm often missing 1 or 2 items and it's hard to figure out what's missing. Alternatively I'd be happy to buy a stash tab that will show me vendor recipe progress. Last bumped on Sep 4, 2018, 5:01:29 AM

no offense, but i'm afraid you're the only one selling stuff for whetstones and scraps.
even picking up quality flasks to sell for glassblower baubles isn't worth it really cause you just buy them at the town trader from whetstones you pickup . imho, the only quality items worth selling are quality gems and summing up item's quality values to 40 isn't that difficult once a week. offline

I'm using the glasblower's bauble ( not always ) recipe and still the gcp recipe.
In my honest opinion, I think that a bit of mental calculation can't hurt anyone ( I would even say that it's more like a necessary thing nowaday, people are getting more and more reliant to IT tools, even for really simple things ), and that it's not a big deal. It also fits more the "obscure" feeling that the game usually gives, but that is highly subjective and I know that many seem to dislike it. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Aug 12, 2018, 5:40:09 AM

" I just wait until I have about 5-6 gems and paste them in the vendor trade, see if I get a GCP and a wisdom fragment, if so I find the 5% quality gem and throw it away. In all honesty the current vendor recipe system doesn't exactly require any calculations, just practiced pattern recognition. If you do want to always land at 40% quality for GCP, I don't think a progress bar would help a lot; you would still need to fish out the gem that has X% to fill to 40%. Though I would like to see the total currency that is in a trade tab. I don't mind calculating how much currency I'm trading, but I would like to double check with a computer result. Its what you do with all actual currency. “We are the race of flesh, We are the race of lovers.”

Well i think it's fine that you have to sum up to 40. Also you can find gem with quality that you lack by searching for for example "12%". GCP, chisel, chaos, regal, vaal orb are the only worth something recipes.

@aglet91
That's not the issue, I'm getting weary of doing the math calculating to multiples of 40. |

Stash lots of gems or flasks. LOTS.
Sell them all to the vendor at once for 4-5 Baubles or GCP's. If anything other than Baubles or GCP's pops up, remove an item. If you lose a Bauble or GCP, put it back and remove a lower-quality item. Repeat until you just have Baubles or GCP's. You might lose a few % of quality, but it's about a million times faster. |

" First world problem there. If people are getting tired of such simple calculations, I think that it's not a very good sign of where our societies are headed to ... And it's definitely not something that Wraeclast should hold your hand with (imho). From an efficiency point of view anyway, as just pointed out in the previous post ... you don't even need to calculate anything. You just need to understand what's efficient (worth your time) and what isn't. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. there was a program that searched your stash and showed all possible recipes and where to find the items.
it's called: Procurement no idea if this is still a thing and kept updated. |
