Can I give up Animate Guardian, Spectre, CWDT setup and take Kaom' Hearth and Kaom's Roots. What do you think? It is worth 1k more life? Resistances arent problem.

I get that you'd want to keep the Str requirement as low as possible, but there are plenty of red gems in the build which make that you need a minimum of 111 str to run the core gems at level 20 (Maim support and Melee Phys damage support).

Is it not an option to have Shield Charge go to level 12 as the requirement is 109 str at that level and doesn't require any additional str outside of the core gems? This would allow to have an increase of 86% movement speed instead of 76% at level 2.

Any suggestions on how to deal with small-arena fights?

I'm finding this build quite comfortable for regular mapping/bossing, as you can safely move away while the skeletons wreck everything. For smaller fights (like elder guardians, decaying memories, nexus bosses, etc) that don't have a lot of room to maneuver, I'm finding it difficult to keep things off me long enough to have them aggro the skeletons. Since we have no block because of Aegis, this feels really sketchy even with the added armor/evasion/life from Belly.

Is this just a case of popping defensive pots and hoping for the best, or are there better ways to deal with these situations?

drop down a decoy totem+multi totem if you have space

The taunt from decoy totem gives you perma 10% less damage taken for the rest of the fight as well
