Kripparrian and Curse launch build website. Exile Pro

I guess everyone questioning the original builds are not reading the people posting them...

The same people who wrote the guides for these builds are the ones who originally made the initial guides on these forums(like invalesco for example).

Kripp's main role is filtering which quality builds are posted on the website.

He doesn't sound jelly, he brings up some good points.

Any "Fan" site that runs ads on their page, are money hungry seeking people. It doesn't cost more than a happy meal at McDonald's per month to host a site like that. (If you're know what you're doing ofc)

That site is totally worthless and brings nothing proprietary to the table, all builds and whatnot can be found on the POE forums (google), etc. I think it's quite funny a lot of people are making these sites and just slap them with ads and try to advertise them here.

Like I said early, how would you guys feel if GGG put adsense on their forums? Would make you feel pretty "Weird" eh? It's the exact same logic here, seeing ads on fansites are taking advantage of GGG's hard work and it's almost borderline stealing. (How I see it) Especially when theres nothing new to the table.

In any event, bottom line is if you're going to make a fan site, make it something unique and don't put ads all over it, it just de-values the site and makes it look bad. (Yes I turned off ad-blocker just to see if it had ads)


I love krip's videos and I've watched them, he is a cool guy, but you can see his "scream" for money when he launches this site, it's pretty pathetic, but to each is own, he can do whatever he wants.

But don't know about you guys, I wouldn't want to support someone just wasting their life away at home playing video games 24/7, lol but that's just me. Yes I sound like a hypocrite because I said I watched some of his videos, but I havn't joined that exiledpro, or watch his stream/etc because I think playing videos games like that is just not good for your overall health :P. But then again, he can do whatever he wants, it's his life! I just love seeing right through people's greediness for money, it's quite sad.

Now this would be a totally different story, if he actually spent time creating the new site and making it look totally bad ass, I just fail to see anything proprietary/unique :(

There is many new builds not to mention people who posted those guides on the forums are the same people posting it on exiledpro. It filters the quality guides that are different but successfully work in endgame too.

Also curse owns and manages the site. Kripp did not make it.. he just provides and gathers poe pros to give guides(and curse compensates him for that).

Not weird at all :S Since when was adsense so bad? Wow I never knew people have grown to despise ads that keep websites free although they have the full option of using adblock.

And stop being silly and questioning something you know nothing about. You didn't even look at the website enough to realize some of the guides are not on the forums and the ones that are were posted by the exact same people.

It actually wouldn't bother me in the slightest if there were adverts on the forums - just the forums mind, not the home page.

It's a F2P game, they should look at any and all possible streams of revenue to subsidise the continued development.

I like this site.

In the PoE forums are too many Build threads mixed with questions and other stuff to find something really good. And all these builds on exilepro are "approved" by someone who knows quite a lot more about the game than i do. So i expect them to be at least decent. And i like the build Layout.

I like the site also. I also like that POE gets all the attention it deserves from this streamers. Its how you build a community around a game.. some people are just jaelous.

Of course everyone has to make a living and if they make a few bucks with some websites..who cares.. by these sites more people will see POE and try it out and buy tabs and support poe. the more the better.

LOL.. POE points to these streamers themself on their site.. They go hand to hand and i think behind the scenes they are best friends.. POE needs community..community needs community websites...community websites needs POE

I checked out the site the other night, was pretty cool. I imagine it will get even better in time. Only problem I can for-see is them having to fix the skill tree for each build every time GGG changes alters the skill during beta. But that is a small thing.

He's trying to make a living doing something he loves which is more than most people walking this planet can honestly claim. Who are you to judge him? Why don't you share what you do for a living so I can poke holes in it and talk about how you are wasting your life.

Edit: I checked out the Exile Pro site and while it's a bit light on content to begin with, what's there is high quality.

Agreed. It's very difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff in the class forums. This site is a godsend.
