Legitimate macros

Hello.

As friend of mine recently got ban warning while using only PoE-TradeMacro, i would like to clarify legitimate use of additional third-party programs that are improving PoE player's experience.

As I know, it is allowed to use such programs under the following conditions:
1. only 1 server-action per 1 click/shortcut,
2. do not "touch" any game data (however it is allowed to use Client.txt),
3. do not have timer for flasks etc.

So usage of programs like PoE-TradeMacro and LabCompass that as I know do not breach these rules is completely allowed by GGG (so my friend's warning was by mistake or because his mouse has innate multi-click optopn). I believe that the time counter in LabCompass (which counts time from opening the Lab to killing Izaro thirs time) is not against rule 3.
MercuryTrade has Overseer option with timers, so I probably shouldn't use it, but PoE-Trades-Companion is legitimate (unless I program it to have multiple functions under 1 button).

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I really hope for some official whitelist.

Best regards

i basically explained it here

chris anounced on the official dev channels (reddit) they wanted to fix labCompass by removing the respective log entry, dunno when they do that.

if you mouse has a autorepeat function and you use that you're risking your account as this will likely trigger the bot detection.

i wouldn't use poeTrade compagnion cause it may be technically legal but it gives a serious disadvantage to players not using it. kind of a greyzone really.

Allegedly.

People who cheat generally don't tell others they do so.

That's not an exhaustive list of the relevant rules.

For example, it doesn't preclude software reading the screen and auto-using flasks when you've X% life remaining. It also doesn't disallow macros alternating between different actions each time you activate them. GGG does not allow tools to do either of these things.

I've a guide linked to from my signature which covers the most common stuff. In general I'd suggest asking about specific programs / macros rather than attempting to devise a list of GGG's rules based on what they've said publicly and trying to guess yourself.

If your friend has been using the multi-click functionality, that's what got them the warning.
