Too many useless quest rewards

I think you know what im talking about. There are sidequests that pepole dont even bother to complete, because of the trashy rewards.
I think you should change the 4-link random rare rewards to 3-5 orb of binding, so that pepole can customize a bit while leveling up. I dont have problems with the flask rewards, but it would be nice to get a 20 quality one for my efforts. Or you can give a white flask and a few glassblower so newer players can learn about them. You could add a bit more gambling to the rewards, for example you can choose one of the few rare base belts/rings or a random low level uniqe one. Getting a lowlevel random vendortrash uniqe ealry in the game could be fun, and hurts nobody. Or you could give like 50-100 scroll of wisdom or portal in one of the quests because it is always pain in the butt getting those early on. To point out the problem: When was the last time you rescued Fairgraves it the docks? Or killed The Great White Beast in the den? answer: when it was one of the challenges you needed to complete. Thats a cheap way to force pepole to complete an otherwise unrewarding quests. You worked hard, and put effort into creating these, why would you abandon them like that? I dunno why they don't wanna change them really like grimdawn they should just give a flat amount of exp why is that so hard?

They just want to players have a nightmares about they going again and again and again to this shiny act 2 and get those shiny generous T1 maps, for example.

I love the orb of binding idea.
I do like the glassblower idea and I would like those flasks to quit being magic by default. "That thing no longer gets cleared by me, the moment I get it, that character now only gets access six prophecies instead seven. That is the only way to prevent its useless kind from showing up again (until they decide to allow it to scale). |

Even the 4L are more than not vendored because by then I have a few decent 4L's and the stats they come with are almost always not good... and if you don't use one of the few chosen skills, the threshold jewels one is pointless. Some good suggestions here imo - binding orbs, XP, etc. - hopefully smtg will happen. I only do the side quests because my faulty brain tells me I must complete everything.
I have to say any one of them that gives a gear reward is, in fact, silly. Back when getting an early 4L rare item was something special perhaps they meant something. Now you get a dozen rares with each Incursion (at least) and so a gear reward is meaningless. This is one of several old school things in PoE that has not been redesigned for the modern game. |
