Uber lab full run build
|
Hi!
Got bored of mapping and I absolutely hate big bossfights (whats upcoming with t16, shaper, atziri, etc), so I decided to go with the labyrinth for a while. I'm looking for a build to farm uber lab. I do not want to speedrun it (yet, not with this character anyways), so I give up speed for survivability. Something that does not die on traps easily and can reliably kill izaro even if some attacks aren't evaded (pretty much facetanking him). I guess its a juggernaut then. Maybe a deaths door for bleeding. Maybe high armour to reduce trap damage, some good life regen. Kaoms whatever. Thats what I'm imagining. But what skill to use? RF with antiburn flask to toggle it at traps? Eq/sunder, cyclone, cleave, molten strike? I'm still relatively new so I think I'd need a full guide (linked) to follow it rather than some 'go jugg spec xyz pick xyz' kind of stuff I'm reading in some threads here explained in 2 words. Also, I have a budget of circa 6-7-8 exalted (maybe a little more, but no mirrored stuff or ultra rare uniques). Last bumped on Jul 6, 2018, 7:04:55 PM

" I have been very safely farming uber lab with my current build. Been through 5-6 times and even Izaro can't really do all that much, especially if I take out mechanics in the first two fights. He can still take out a good chunk of life ofc, but for the most part I can just facetank him. I'm using this guide, but with some alterations. I'm using Cleave for packs, and often bosses too because I'm lazy and the difference isn't that big. I've not dared to equip Abyssus, and that probably isn't recommended when up against Izaro (mainly physical damage). Instead of Assassin's Mark + Ice Golem I'm using Enfeeble + Stone Golem. Both give you more survivability at the cost of DPS (crits). The build itself has plenty of life regen (and the stone golem gives even more), and red sockets on Scaeva(s) plus blood rage gives you plenty of life leech on top. Of course you can still die, like to those annoying after-death effects on foes, but I find it's a very solid build. With 6-8 exalts you have a much bigger budget than me (I started with it and it's my only character in this league). You can even buy a 6-linked Brass Dome if you want. The build easily gets you 30 000 armour. Add life to your gear and the build's ~200% +life should fairly easily bring you over 5000 life (I currently have 5500, without life on some unique gear). I often just run through traps, but you do need to keep an eye on health. Can't survive everything, but mostly it's fine. As you can see from the very well-explained guide, it is based on swords and crit chance+multi, so damage should be pretty good. With good flasks, blood rage and auras I'm currently doing almost 200k with Cleave -- but then I usually don't bother with flasks unless it's a boss fight. With your budget, you can probably get both survivability and damage much higher than I can, but it's already a breeze through the uber lab for me as well. Currently I'm doing yellow maps so I don't know how well it will fare in the very end game, but I hope it's still viable without dying in droves. I can mostly just facetank bosses, which is pretty cool and fun :) |

Easy with Sunder Juggernaut and a bleeding pot, and it's in your budget. I'm far from a good player and i didn't die in 7-8 runs while watching soccer on the tv... Google Sunder Jugg 2h to find the build.

Cant answer all your questions but:
"Either something with high phys mitigation (Jugg builds) or something with MoM. Both should be regen based. See here also Help me to find - Lab farmer, trap immune build. "Some mods (esp Essences/Conduits) are dangerous for many builds. But for everything else its enough to use a 'Lightning Coil' and stack some defenses. "Just use anti bleed flask. Deaths Door is better but I wouldnt spend the currency at first. "Armour only helps against traps which hit - ground spikes mostly. Armour is still useful for lab runner but it will not carry you on its own as it doesnt work vs the degen traps. "Yes. "IME if you have a facetank build then the offensive skill choice isnt very important. Just make sure you have enough DPS and pick something which allows you to not kill the adds. And beware Lieutenant reflect. "If you pick RF best add SR for Izaro. (And you dont have to turn on RF at all during lab if you dont want. And you dont have to turn it off for every trap you see either if you have it on.) " Based on your self estimation I would recommend to use a lot less than your 6..8 exalts for this build. I dont think you need more than 1 ex for a lab runner. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

Thank you for the thorough answers, I appreciate them.
Finally I ended up building an RF juggernaut with SR in a shaped sceptre (pseudo 5link with elem focus and blood magic on the weapon). Kaoms heart, double kaoms way, life recovery elder belt, 9 endurance charges, marble amulet. Its quite tanky, facetanked everything so far. Also found out that deaths door is a bit overkill, a Bloodgrip amulet does all the wonders versus traps that make you bleed. I can blindly run through traps with RF on, so I'm farming even on the way between trials just by passing through rooms, unlike any other melee jugg which needs to stop and hit to kill mobs. I'm kind of following this guide: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1985355 however I made some changes, using the bloodgrip for labs, adding immortal call to the stone golem-cwdt setup (got the free socket by linking orb of storms - shield charge - faster attacks and crit strikes together). I also have lightning warp without any support in a separate unlinked socket, which can help me to dont even bother getting near traps because it is the most precise movement skill.
