But I love blueberries and beef (just not simultaneously), don't go and ruin that with PoE bots. But I thought GGG was on their "Ban the Bots Bandwagon?". Yes, I know, I know, so many bots, too few to stop them. It's just whack a bot for GGG.

Edit:
With this many bots in PoE isn't that a symptom of a larger systemic problem of the awful 99.999% garbage drops, the lack of proper gear drop scaling into the endgame (wtf... +2 to ES on and ilvl 80 item... what rng garbage roll shit is this), the god awful rng gambling masquerading as crafting, and the even bigger problem of a terrible trade system (spam trade chat with 100 WTB, get < 10% replies and 9 out of 10 are "already sold")?

Also known, with a larger player base comes the inevitable botters. So let me see if I understand correctly, GGG put all important game calculations in the server simulation so client PoE has nothing that can be brute force hacked to stop cheating. This is turn means QoP is much less than other on-line games because our attack input command must go to the server, all processing done there, and then wait for results to come back to the client before we see what the result is. All in the name of "stopping cheating" to protect the game economy. Bad trade function causes the rise of the RMT sites because "the hell with spamming WTB 100s of times to get a seller to reply. I can afford to buy the item for a few $$ off a site and my time saved is more valuable than a few bucks to me right now in my life" (yes, no lecture on "that's an immediate account ban", I/we know). So the end result is massive botting that overwhelms GGG's capacity to stop them and game economy is ruined. I think that pretty much sums up the current state of PoE.

From the other I_NO thread and replies from a few that got caught and banned that "but I needed to run a bot as I just can't play 12+ hours every day to get anywhere in this game" that too indicates GGG has a very serious problem on their hands and they better get off their asses (oh right, the recent Tencent stock buy-in means the founders are flush with money and really don't need to "give a damn" if players are fed up with state of trading and game economy run amuck by bot farmers) before the whole game economy is shot to hell and beyond with bots.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Every online game has botters. Show me 1 online game where a developer has been successful at completely crushing botters? Any method that's 100% successful at catching botters is bound to pick up quite a few false-positives as well. Would people prefer a method that's not 100% successful, and has an extremely low % chance of false positives? Because that's the 2 options people have.

So I_NO, consider this, if they were to crack down harder on botters, that could mean you get falsely flagged as a botter, and banned. Then people are gonna LOL on the forums and say "Knew you were a botter, git rekt!" - with massive dinosaur tears flowing down your T-Rex snout. Gaming communities typically have no remorse for people who get banned for cheating/botting. Every developer's system is fool-proof, and all bans are 100% justified. Not just here, but look on Steam in the VAC bans section.

I'm playing SSF on Incursion for the first time this league and I really can't complain about drops.

As for trading, I don't see the point of spamming trade chat if you can list items and just wait for people to contact you to buy or vice versa. Maybe I'm missing something.

Agreed. But some people enjoy playing "Path of Fisher-Price", and overstate junk as good drops. But whatever floats their boat. The fact that he found a Bisco's Collar means he got better drops than 99.9% of SSFers. Most SSFers can put 200hrs+ in a league, and not find a single drop even as good as that. But even if hypothetically, I was to go into SSF knowing that I would find better drops than 99.9% of SSFers, I still wouldn't be satisfied, which is why I don't play it.

PoE gear is worse than Fischer-Price toys. At least with F-P you get some kind of "plastic junk", but here in PoE it's all vaporware. Just another number in the GGG database that could instantly disappear if you are hijacked or the day when GGG shuts down forever (it will come). It's best to not get too heavily invested monetarily and emotionally.
