No Demons Souls on steam, sadly. The first one is remastered and not on sale, and Dark Souls: prepare to Die is not on Steam, either.

So, II or III (that look like they have a few tack ons as well) or worth paying more than double for I remastered?

Or, something else entirely? I'm idly shopping, planning to plat PoE to 24 challenges, and also might pick something new up. Steam Sale has such good bargains.

A few of the boss fights in DS2 were notoriously hard. Fume Knight supposedly had like a 95%+ win rate vs all attempts against him. That includes coop. Smelter Demon was another good one.

I also liked the "power stance" mechanic in DS2. DS3 kinda has a hybrid of that, where some weapons like caestus, or "twin swords" can be used 1h or duel wield. But in DS2, you could power stance x2 great clubs and swing them both with L1. Or be an OG l33t edgy pwnzor troll like me and power stance Crypt Blackswords, and be a dark mage at the same time.

Before they nerfed it, the ultimate PVP trolls were using power-stance Avelyns. Those rapid fire crossbows. With Mundane infusion, they could do as much as 1200 damage with a single L1 unload, and the weapon was exceptional at roll catching. Yes, I was one of those guys. I got told to "go back to COD" as hate mail so often on PS3, that I had to make an account with COD in it, just so they could give me all of their salt when they lose.

In DS2, they had a ring that massively buffed bare fist damage. To such a degree that it was actually a viable weapon option. And you could "power stance" bare fists as well. With the right stats & rings, you could get close to 400 AR pure physical with bare fists. I remember I had a FightsLikeAman character, bare fists, shirtless with jeans and some boots, and I'd invade and stomp people.

Wolcen is a JOKE GAEM relying on flashy graphics and is STUCK in DEVELOPMENT HELL...! TRUTH

We'll wait and see what happens in a couple of months with Wolcen. If they do not release beta by end of Aug I will agree with you.
