PSA: villa boss

7k life doesn't speak anything about your defenses.
Many of the red tier bosses can kill a character pretty fast, no doubt.

What can i say, my provider gives me a new ip adress every day at a random time and i got bored of dying to that after 3 years of so.

And since then i deleted most of my hardcore chars to create character slots.

So yeah, whatever floats your boat, a slam still is a slam and i would dodge it in hardcore or softcore.

It's half physical half lightning just like regular dominus. If you were playing a jugg you wouldn't have died. In hardcore you literally have to stack defenses out the wazoo or learn and play around the fucking mechanics. You think t12 is "early"? Are you the type that will never even fight shaper?

Villa boss is easy and I've never died to it. You want something deadly that's also nontrivial to avoid, try the pillar beams at defiled cathedral boss.

I was actually thinking the other day, one of the measures of PoE is that a single, regular, white mob in a map can generally kill you relatively quickly if you are distracted long enough. Most games have regular mobs taking an hour to kill you but mob you with them to give the illusion of a threat. In PoE, there is always a threat.

I think I like that about this game.

You probably dysnched, I stand in the slams all day. But the villa boss does more damage then palace boss imo

This is the real PSA for new players, and especially HC players. This basically reflects GGG design goals. The game is meant to be difficult and very lethal, and just plain kill you if you do something dumb in a critical moment.
