Told my wife awhile back that guy should of charged $1 for the program and if that million is still like 500K different people using it that guy would be rich.

Well, I'm sure Chris and company had many meetings discussing the pros/cons of different business models before settling on Free-To-Play with purchasable mtx (such as stash tabs and all cosmetics) well before we had a closed beta PoE to play. For example, back in May of 2012 when D3 shipped Blizzard sold it for $60 USD and I read that there were at least 5 million copies sold. That's a whopping $300 million in sales! Of course Blizzard got a ton of sales just by reputation from their wildly successful Diablo II (just checked and D2 is still selling for $9.99 on Blizzard's website). GGG was an unknown by most arpg players back then so they decided to go the f2p route and cross their fingers we'd buy enough mtx to keep them in the black. Obviously this worked for GGG and with the Steam numbers there are over 7 million Steam PoE accounts today.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

So it means there are roughly 1.000.000+ players in PoE? Moreover this is amount of advanced players because new players don't know / don't need PoB.

I don't use it because the shit draws 20% CPU for me.
Going outside is highly overrated

It seems like many people misunderstood the OP. He's referring to Path of Building, a thirdy party tool, not the actual game itself.
