I just downloaded the game after not playing for a few years, and this is happening to me as well. Also Windows 7. It's extremely frustrating. Wish there was a solution already.

Seems to be something about windows 7 and directx11.
I was having the same problem as everyone here, (and now still the same problem where I just crash in-game instead of on the title screen), However, if you change to directx9 it should be fine. |

i cant get past logging into town i dc instantly never had these issues before this patch

Same here, instant crash moved from login screen to after logging into town. We made progress!

New *UPDATE* on my side: I can finally play consistently with Dx11.
What i did: I put EVERYthing on max settings(Then lowered the resolution cause my pc is poopy) and activated everything in the sound settings. Now i can play with dx11 without crash but with shitty fps LUL! EDIT: Nvm, i don't know what they did with todays patch but it fucked with the fix. Yet. Again. >_> This. Sucks. After last updates i was ble to play for like 5 mins....
