" They bought shares they did not invest in ggg those are 2 completely sepperate things. Now they might invest in ggg but nothing has realy been said about that. [Removed by Support] Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” Last edited by jackof8lades#6863 on May 22, 2018, 12:10:46 PM

" This. 100% this. It's pretty much the worst company to pick for buying up 80% of your company as a game developer/publisher. For example, if GGG had Blizzard buy 80% and had the same "independent" promise, I'd still be miffed about GGG no longer being an indie, but I wouldn't feel dirty buying supporter packs in the future. With Tencent, that changes everything. I'm not contributing to a Chinese company like Tencent. Never. You screwed up GGG. Probably a great cash flow for you individually and as a company, but at the cost of tarnishing your name, destroying your business model, and alienating who knows how much of your player base (but by all of the negativity, it's at least a good chunk). GGG, good luck with all of the new Chinese players and naive International players this will bring to PoE, along with additional staff to speed up/improve development. But you just shot your own identity to hell. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

im not familiar with the whole shareholder stuff. does it actually mean if i spend 100 bucks on packs, GGG just sees 20$ off it? so the majority of my support goes to a global annonymous company not related at all to the playerbase? is that really the case?
if so, it seems like a terrible idea to sell this much of the company (aside from a onetime big cashgrab). it completely alienates GGG from the playerbase and its a waste to buy packs IMO |

I can’t buy any more big supporter packs because the forum only supports showing 7 legacy tags. |

so much hate. yet i believe they know what they are doing and did extensive research before they signed off. and i believe they are more informed what was in the contract (if any was formed) and they will stay with us for at least few more leagues.
this might bring cash for new engine and things. it like you take the apple from the tree yet even tho it is still ripe you decide its rotten/flawed. ALSO POE IS P2W :D coz you can buy stash tabs. best joke you can read on the forums in a "single/multi player instance game) you guys are just over-reacting to something you can really affect. maybe it seems like a bad choice (like bestiary league) but this is not something they had to rush for sure. and if they mess up this game at least you can go and enjoy some quality RL |
