Suggestions for 3.7 (very big wall of text)

Introduction
Spoiler
Hi everyone,

I'd like your help with collecting more things that could be improved in PoE and how so. Feel free to comment on what I listed and please leave your own ideas. Some of the things listed might already have been implemented, if so, let me know and I'll add a remark. I can not promise that I will add everything you guys come up with to the list, sorry in advance for that.

Not all of the below listed ideas are from me. I collected many of them over a period of time and added my own. Whenever possible I try to update the List of Contributors to acknowledge who helped with this collection of ideas. I also try to write the name of the person in parenthesis next to the suggested QoL, item, skill, etc., whenever I can.

I'm not a native speaker, therefore some of the English may be confusing, sound strange or just be plain wrong. Feel free to improve wording and correct spelling mistakes where you deem necessary.

This list is not what I "must have" in the game to be happy. I absolutely enjoy the game as is. This list just wants to discuss options and explore their validity and (hopefully) potentially positive effects on the game.

Obviously it is and will always be under construction and I hope some of you will enjoy tinkering around with this some of the ideas presented in here.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. Quality of Life
2. Skills
3. Divination Cards
4. Masters
5. Items
6. Various

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

1. QUALITY OF LIFE

Spoiler
1.) Split the hotkeys for "compare with currently equipped item" and "show advanced item details" (They are currently the same).

2.) With your stash open, the "Home" and "End" keys should skip to the first/last stash tab; similarly how the arrow keys now move to the next/previous tab. Pressing a letter or a number key should skip to the next tab with a name starting with that letter/number.

3.) Ctrl+Shift click a stack of currency in a stash tab or inventory, then type in a number X to transfer that much of the currency into your inventory, stash tab, or trade window.

4.) Ctrl+right click when applying a currency that increases quality, then type in the desired amount X that will instantly be applied to that item, making it faster to get 20% quality weapons and armour.

5.) Add a button or key combination for "identify all items in inventory". This should use identify scrolls from your inventory (as many as are available/necessary); and in a town or hideout scrolls from your stash if there are none in your inventory.

6.) Shift+click a skill icon in the action bar to toggle "always attack in place" when using that skill.

7.) A hotkey for "dump all gems from selected item into currently opened tab". Or better, allow modification of items with socketed gems in them via currency (with the exception of jeweler's orbs obviously).

8.) After 5 linking a 6 socketed item, or fully linking a 3 or 4 socketed item, play a sound and prevent additional orbs of fusing from being used on that item for X seconds, where X is a time we can choose and set ourselves, ranging from 0 (no stop) to X (longest stop).

9.) Instead of having to vendor a skill gem with an orb of regret/scouring, allow us to use the orb on a gem directly to lower its level.

10.) The advanced item details should specify when a modifier of an item is local to that item.

11.) Show the base radius of all skills and effects ("nearby" and such), either by default or in the advanced description mode.

12.) Show the bonus a skill gem gains from quality or +X lvl in advanced description mode, for cases when the gem currently has zero quality or the quality bonus is additive with another bonus already on the gem.

13.) The command “/passives” should show which Labyrinths you have received ascendancy points from.

14.) With "output voice lines in chat" enabled, the time for how long a voice line stays visible on screen should increase with the length of the sound clip. The transcriptions of some longer monologues (Piety, Daresso, Izaro, ...) disappear before the character finishes talking. This can be a minor issue for ESL players.

15.) Keep Golems and Zombies alive after logout.

16.) Keep toggle skills active after character death.

17.) Double-clicking a map on the Atlas while in range of your stash should open the map stash tab on the page with that map.

18.) Allow opening of both the stash and the Atlas at the same time. This will make finding maps to run and applying sextants easier.

19.) Add a toggle to hide modifiers that can't be crafted on an item when using a master's workbench. [finally implemented by GGGTencent in Nov. 2018]

20.) Show possible quest rewards when starting a quest, not only at the end.

21.) Give an option to configure the delay between the character's warning messages ("out of mana", "spell on cooldown", etc.) For some builds it is meaningful to know every time this is a problem, even if it becomes a bit spammy. Currently these sound bits only play with a quite long delay.

22.) After we complete Act 10, let us invite Lily (or Siosa) to our hideout to sell all available skill gems. Additionally she could sell all currency that is normally sold by vendors.

23.) Add a pathway in Highgate (in both Act 4 and 9) going from Tasuni's place to the northeastern exit.

24.) The portals at the end of the Merciless Ascendancy Trials (the trials found in maps) should lead back to the map and not to the beginning of the trial.

25.) Under “Advanced Item details” please add a remark for unique items which version they are from. This will help a bit finding out which legacy or current version the unique item is.

26.) A countdown for the Flesh/Bone/Spirit Offering skills in the GUI would be lovely.

27.) Make the Item-level of the item visible by default.

28.) Give us a skill-gem stash tab.

29.) Make Blacksmith's Whetstone and Armourer's Scrap more useful. Glassblower's Bauble is also in a bad spot.

30.) Allow people to add notes to items in stash tab. People would like to remember why they kept some of the items and might not always quickly remember why (for example: it has max stat x,y / it is a legacy item / it is an alternate art item / race reward from race x / Kripparian gave it to me / etc.)

31.) Premium Currency Stashtab’s limits should be raised to 10.000 for each currency.

32.) Allow a higher order of tab grouping (supertabs).

33.) After the end of a league, add all merged temp league tabs at the end of the standard stash.

34.) Give players a “search all tabs” option that shows only tabs containing matches.

35.) Give players a “vendor entire tab” option (and lock tab option, to prevent this by accident).

36.) allow HO designs to be stored [finally implemented by GGGTencent in Nov. 2018]

37.) past HOs can be recalled. [finally implemented by GGGTencent in Nov. 2018]

38.) Inform players how many portals a map has left. (maybe in the corner with the zone information)

39.) A few times I have had portals time out. The nature of life I suppose in our busy multi-tasked world. Can the following please be implemented? At 60 seconds remaining have the portal blink twice. At 30 seconds Blink slowly to faster as it times out. This would be a good visual reminder that it will vanish soon.

40.) Make it so that when you move your mouse cursor over certain map in atlas it shows how many of those maps you own.

41.) Make it so that when you Shift / Ctrl left click on an item for which you have a specialized premium tab (currency, essence, fragments, etc.)that this item automatically goes to it's respective stash tab, without having to open that tab, as long as the stash is opened anyways (by VOXUE). It would be even better if one single click would make all items for which specialized-premium-stash-tabs exist go to their respective tabs at once, without having to click on each individual item. (by Ahawez)

42.) Give players a premium fossil and resonator stash tab.

43.) Make that purple pop up window for prophecies optional as it impairs the view. Many people don’t want / need to see it. A simple purple text at the side of the screen suffices for most people. (The purple pop up window is the window that is visible on screen for a few seconds when a new quest has been added or fulfilled.)

44.) add a function that allows us to auto-level-up skill-gems, or a hotkey, so that we don't have to do it manually every time they level up. (by kaksius)

45.) Add the ability to log-in from log-in screen directly into your Hideout if you have one. (by Lokiator)

46.) In the character selection screen:
a) allow us to filter/sort our characters by level, class, name, etc.
b) when you click on one of your characters in the character selection screen – show a 3D model of the character off to the left with the equipped gear as he/she appears in the game. Players should be able to choose if they want to view the char with or without equipped mtx.(by MBata)

47.) Make pantheon souls (the ones u need to catch with a divine vessel) searchable on the atlas, sometimes it takes forever to find them. (by sarannah101) [Finally implemented by GGG somewhere in the later stage of 2018]

48.) Due to influence (both shaper and elder), sometimes the connection lines on the atlas are barely visible. (by sarannah101)

49.) Act 10 town: dock is a bit too small, it's very common to accidentally clicking NPC's. (by sarannah101)

50.) Allow players to see what Monsterlevel their currently active spectres have. Maybe add this to the character screen.

51.) Frame the maps in the premium-map-stash-tab in the same way that Atlas Objectives are framed on the Atlas, so that players can quickly pick the Objectives they are looking for.

52.) Make a Crafting benches category in the hideout tab. It's troublesome having to search for them among the regular decoration items. (by sarannah101) [Finally implemented by GGG somewhere in the later stages of 2018]

53.) When pricing an item in a premium stash tab, the currency you can choose from should be listed in alphabetical order. (by Katastruff)

54.) Show Ascendancy options available to the class you are choosing at the character creation screen. (by viciousnugget)

55.) Make a little pop up menu on maps (in atlas) which can show what kind of divination cards can be found in the respective map. This pop up menu should have the option to be switched on/off. (by Into_dust)

56.) Allow players to see what the Animated Guardian is currently wearing.

2. SKILLS

As we all know making balanced skills is hard and I'm just trying, so please be lenient with me ;-)

Spoiler
Chance to Flee
Spoiler
Chance to Flee is a support gem.

Enemies hit by the supported skill will have a % Chance to Flee and there is a Duration for how long they will do so; When fleeing they will attempt to run to a random point somewhere away from the player and won't undertake any offensive maneuvers.

The gem level progression remains the same (see PoE Wikipedia).

The gem gains a new stat called "flee duration":
This duration determines for how long monsters will keep on fleeing. If triggered again on a monster, the current duration will be refreshed with a new one.
The Flee Duration starts at 0.1 seconds for level 1 of the gem and increases by 0.1 for each gem level until reaching its maximum of 2 seconds at level 20.

The gem gains a new stat called "increased bleeding damage":
This will simply increase the damage monsters take from bleeding.
The increased bleeding damage starts at 1% for level 1 and increases by 1% per level that the gem gains until reaching 20% at level 20.

Per 1% quality this gem gains: Supported Skills have 1% chance to Cause Monsters to Flee.

Effect on White Monsters: Flee chance x 1 | Duration x 1
Effect on Magic Monsters: Flee chance x 0.5 | Duration x 0.75
Effect on Rare Monsters: Flee chance x 0.25 | Duration x 0.5
Effect on Unique Monsters: Flee chance x 0.05 | Duration x 0.25

Effects that increase or decrease skill duration have full effect on this support skill.

Cast on Death
Spoiler
Cast on Death is a support gem.

It causes linked spells to trigger when a minion is killed.

The "more damage while dead" values listed under the gem level progression on the PoE Wiki have all their numbers halved.

The gem has an additional stat that reads: minions deal 75% reduced damage with their own spells and attacks.

Mana Leech
Spoiler
Per 1% Quality:
Supported Skills deal 1% (up from 0.5) increased Damage while Leeching Mana

Life Leech
Spoiler
Per 1% Quality:
Supported Skills deal 1% (up from 0.5) increased Damage while Leeching Life

Reduced Mana
Spoiler
Per 1% Quality:
Supported Skills deal 1% increased Damage
(instead of the current version: Per 1% Quality: Supported Skills have 0.25% reduced Mana Cost)

Puncture
Spoiler
The gem gains a new stat called "puncture blast radius":
Only the bleeding damage caused by the skill Puncture will splash out to adjacent monsters in a certain radius around the punctured monster and cause them to bleed for the same amount of damage - similar to melee splash. Remember: This damage is not instant, it's bleeding damage and works over time, just as the bleeding it originates from.
The puncture blast radius has a base radius of 14. This radius increases by 0.5% per gem level.

The gem gains a new stat called "regeneration stop":
Monsters hit by puncture can't regenerate life

Puncture still works with melee splash.

Viper Strike
Spoiler
The gem gains a new stat called "viper bite":
Enemies hit by viper strike suffer from a global reduction of all their defenses by 0.5% at level 1 of the gem, increasing by 0.5% per gem level to a maximum of 10% at level 20.

Devouring Totem
Spoiler
Life and Mana leeched by Devouring Totem is gained instantly

Cast on Melee Kill (by nubatron)
Spoiler
Supported Melee Attacks have 1.5% increased Damage per gem level.

3. DIVINATION CARDS

Preface:
Spoiler

A) More divination cards that are truly rewarding in an original, surprising, uncommon and unusual way would be better than the many surrogates for common loot (already available through regular drops) we currently have.

B) Many Divination Cards were created/designed by supporters. Changing/improving them is difficult because the Supporters’ designs/intentions with that card can’t be changed too much. That's why my suggested changes are not too spectacular.

C) About Currency giving Divination Cards (short: CDC):
All currency related divination cards are actually superfluous (see preface a) and add an extra time sink to the game. The player has to spend X amounts more times on picking up a divination card AND having to stash it X times AND having to go to Navali X times once you got a complete stack, AND having to stash what you got from Navali X times, versus 1 time picking up the actual currency directly and stashing it.

Example with the Divination Card “Loyalty” that gives 3 orbs of fusing:
In order to get those 3 Orbs of Fusing a player has to pick up 5 divination cards. Store them between 1 to 5 times in the stash (1 time, because he/she might find 5 in one go), bring them 1 time to Navali to exchange and then stash them again back in his/her stash 1 time. That’s a total interaction-time-amount of 6-12 (walking here and there and back and forth)! If you find 3 orbs of fusing directly you have an interaction-time-amount of 4-6!

The only two points (and they aren’t very strong points but valid) speaking in favour of this Divination card nonsense are:

- Players who enjoy collecting divination cards, no matter how redundant they are and that’s fair enough.

- Target farming of currency (only meaningful for very, very few CDCs!)

D) About Map giving Divination Cards (MDC):
Divination cards giving you maps have the same issues as CDCs. These cards just add an unnecessary extra layer of tediousnes and wasted time to the game. Just remove them all and increase the regular map drops accordingly. Don't make us pick up X times, go stash X times, go Navali X times, go stash again X times over and over again for no real reason.

Here is the List of Divination cards and the suggested changes:
Spoiler

Q:
Quantity needed to complete the stack

Guarantee 2 Tier 1 Mods:
In addition to the Mod granted by the Divination card, the card now gives another extra Mod, making it 2 in total. Both Mods will be Tier 1. I added this also to white items, meaning that they now grant two mods and thus are not white items anymore but magic items.

4. MASTERS

Spoiler
01.) Make Tasuni a master. He can do the following things:
a) Trade in 20 random Divination Cards and get back 1 random Divination card from Tasuni.
b) Trade in 75 random Divination Cards and Tasuni will bless a map with an increased chance to drop divination cards.
c) Trade in 500 random Divination Cards and Tasuni will duplicate a Divination Card of your choice. (for this to work a function must be implemented that allows the player to void a Divination card or Divination card stack and turn them into blank Divination Cards, otherwise stacking up to such a high amount isn’t possible)

02.) Make some of Navali's prophecies more interesting:
a) Fated Uniques: The Bosses that need to be defeated in order to get those fated uniques should be beefed up versions of the respective boss, thus making the fight more interesting even for high level chars.
b) Prophecy Chains: Make them spawn in all maps, not just in selected maps. Make the fights more interesting.

03.) Make Helena give missions every 48 hours:
a) Clear an infested Hideout and kill the boss of the invaders. Reward: a random high-favor-cost Hideout decoration Item. Monsters in those hideout instances can drop mtx (very rarely). Those missions should of course be very difficult to accomplish.

6. VARIOUS

Spoiler
01.) Pantheon System needs an overhaul and/or expansion.

02.) Add an Orb of Purification that removes corruption and the corrupted mods of an item. This Item has to be super rare of course.

03.) The Pale Council Rewards are not that great in terms of reward and or challenge compared to the time it takes to even reach them and the threat-level they pose. This could use a rework to make it a bit more attractive again. Also all the various parts of the prophecies leading up to the climax are pretty underwhelming.

04.) Many Quest-rewards are not good. Flasks are given too late to be interesting for the players and the rares are in 99% of the cases not worth doing the quest. Most players have found plenty of rares already by the time they get rewarded with a rare from a quest, adding an additional reason why those rewards have become underwhelming.

05.) The game has way too much visual clutter and there are plenty of times where it is hard to see anything among the fireworks of colors and effects covering the screen. Single player is already bad and group play is a nightmare.

I agreed with you.

Especially to the Master's. Masters are really waste of time.

One thing i want to add( or i dont see in topic)

İ have a currency stash tab or map or essence or divi. right?

İf i use shift ctrl left click on an item in any tab of bank, this item has to be go it own place, eessence to essence dc to dc.

About leagues:
Leaguestone is better than zana's atlas device.
They must come bak with the harbinger league stone, breach league stone, abyss league stone, essence league stone.. I miss them..

i would love to see a divinitation card tab in inventary and also a currency tab.
+1 to all OP said.

I just wish GGG takes a break in adding more "new" content next league & just focus on reworking & refining all existing contents & adding QoL. You don't need "new" content to make the game feel fresh. You can make the game also feel fresh with rework of existing contents like what you did with the ascendancy. The skill gem rework was also a good direction. I just hope you do the same with the Masters, Labyrinth, Hideout, etc...

PS:
In addition to QoL, make the "map zoom in/out" key bind-able or make the default key more friendly for TKL users.

I agree with all this.

Item i would really like to see overhauled is 'Taryn's Shiver', was my unique i helped create back in the day, and i am sad to see it be bad(still haven't told Taryn the bad news haha).

2.) Make Tasuni a master and allow us to get a random diviniation card from him or other divination card related rewards for doing his missions or leveling him up.

3.) LEO's pvp missions need improvements

Just remove LEO and replace him with Tasuni with diviniation card quests.

PvP in POE is total shit, nobody even argues about it.
Why are they forcing people to do an imbalance/unfun/unfair/stupid/dumb shit?

P.S.
O, who am I asking!?!
This is GGG, they think that the game should be a pain to be fun.
41.) Lag free... even if you need to NOT implement anything from the itens above xD
I added (but rephrased) all of your suggestions and added your names under 'credits".

thank you

Yeah, would be great to summon all decorations and/or a whole decorated HO from standard, also would like to see a Autoleveling gems or a Hotkey for it.
