Help me understand how to make a Champion,
" Agree on Tombfist, 2 socket one is hard to beat for many builds. You're seriously overrating Berserker btw, the 100% leech is pretty worhless unless when paired with Bloodseeker. Pain reaver is just an alternative to Vitality Void. The combined package of champion is much better damage and defense wise than zerker for almost any build. 1) You get both Taunt nodes. (And so the build has to be a crit attack build; otherwise Resolute Technique with a different ascendancy is a better investment)
2) You get the first Fortify node. 3) If you're confident in your ability to keep Fortify up using some manual application, you skip the second Fortify node. Then you generally pick First to Strike, Last to Fall and work in some mechanism to proc Adrenaline. Otherwise, you can pick the move speed aura if you're crazy about move speed or if you have some other source of Intimidate. Not many choices to make. You could also skip the taunt nodes but then you're basically just striving to be the old champion before it got buffed, and there's really no reason for that. " Truth. " I'm sorry but the thing you just said is quite telling of your knowledge in making builds. You're ignoring all mechanics that don't bluntly say "this thing makes you deal x more damage". There's also a thing you miss called opportunity cost. First off, opportunity cost. For most build pathings matching Pain Reaver is a 5-6 point investment. This is really poor value for an ascendancy passive. Then there's comparison of defense. 5k HP with aspect of Carnage is the same as having 4.5k HP, but with conqueror that's equivalent to 5.3k. that's 800 eHP difference. It becomes much greater when we include other factors, let's throw in fortify as everyone eventually tries to include it in. 5k HP with fortify on zerker is equiv to 5.5k HP, for champ that's 6.7k. 1.2k eHp difference. If we're tryign to make equivalent builds, champ can just skip health passives in favor of more damage. Now to the offense part. Procced Adrenaline is sorta equivalent to having Rage 4 pointer or Warcry Rage + Savage hit damage boost, that is besides giving you damage reduction instead of degen and being much more reliable to proc. Intimidate + Worthy Foe is obviously a lower multiplier than Aspect of Carnage, moreso if you have other sources of intimidate, that is if you ignore the 100% accuracy aspect of Worthy Foe. Accuracy is a stat I find a lot of less experienced player really undervaluing, as wel as sometimes overvaluing due to Lycosidae meta. You can't quickly compare if your build benefits from it more by just slapping it on your current build on PoB. Having 100% accuracy changes how you invest into passives and gear. You obviously don't invest into accuracy passives which frees them up. but you also change your gearing, say instead of getting 300 accu 50 life 25% wed rings you get 75 life 35% wed rings. When all of champ's powers combine, you get builds that end up better than berserker. |

So the only points you need is 2 in accuracy as well. I've never had a problem getting 93+ chance to hit with just those accuracy passives. Just close the skill gap, no need can't evade. even at 93% accuracy your getting 7% more damage from cannot be evaded you know, Champ is better than Zerker in almost every way currently, however if you get into the expensive characters like 20ex + of gear Zerker can pull ahead.

I was thinking about building a Champion that uses Elemental Overload.
I know most people immediatly think of going crit because of Worthy Foe, but I was thinking about a leaguestarter that cannot rely on Accuracy on gear. So it´s either Champion or Juggernaut. I´m trying Juggernaut right now and my chance to hit is capped without any accuracy on my gear. But I´m going crit and the nodes that you invest in crit are numerous. If you could ignore going crit as well and just go for EO that´s another big damage upgrade for "zero" investment. I think you can path up there quite efficiently as well. What do you guys think ? Keep in mind, I´m speaking from a SSF/leaguestarter perspective. |

It's true that Unstoppable Hero >> Fortitude could be a bit better dps-wise, but I think most underestimate it's usefullness... 58% increased melee damage, 10% IAS, cannot be Stunned and 1000 more armor/eva It's not a bad bonus for having fortify permanently.
Most tend to forget it's sinergy with Perseverance belt, wich will give you permament onslaught, so you don't need other mechanics to trigger it, freeing up that potion too... anyway, there is always more to find than you think ;) |

You hit for 1000, you attack 100 times Zerker does 1000 x 93 for a total of 93000 Champ does 1000 x 100 for a total of 100000 that means the zerker does 93% of the damage total of the champion I can't make it any fucking simpler, go take any build in PoB that has a hit chance of 95% and write "your Hits can't be Evaded" on the weapon edit and your dps will go up at least 5% depending on your crit/multi setup.
