" I think the general sentiment is that full crit always wins out with the best gear, but semicrit can be better with low to moderate gear. I usually go full crit from the beginning as I cannot be bothered to min/max every step of the way - so I just try to min/max the end build. |

Hey, the crit version is always better for highend.
The non crit version with elemental overload is better for mapping w/o high investment for mapping. Inpulsa got nerfed so having ele overload is pretty nice since it buffs our heralds directly. Crit always wins in the end with good gear cause of all the multipliers you get through good jewels and items. Going non crit also gives you more points to either get defensive stuff or other stuff since you skip all the critchance and crit multiplier nodes on the tree. Im playing non crit ele bv for example and focus on mapping. If you have any more questions feel free to ask here or ingame whenever im Online. GL! |

Hey there,
I'm almost lvl 92 and your build is very nice so far but I have 2 questions for the endgame build. - Aspect of the Spider, which item should have this enchantment ? - Warlord's Mark, why do I have to use the old gem setup with 2 warlords mark even if I have the Elder Ring with warlords mark ? |

Fun build, really enjoying whirling into packs and hearing a satisfying pop. I haven't had much luck with currency so far, so only about 100c at the moment for upgrades.
Things I'm noticing are: - lack of uptime with BV - clunky feel to needing to stop and cast up to 10, then only having a few seconds before the first few drop off again Assuming I need to invest in cast speed and BV duration to combat this? Gear: Also, I haven't bought hrimsorrow gloves yet - I know these convert to cold, but I was worrying that I'd lose some hp etc with these. How vital are they to the build? Think I might have missed something here. |

Can I get some advice... I am level 90 now, life gear +70 on everything, was lucky and self-found Inpulsa's. I cannot figure out how this build is "tanky". If anything I feel incredibly fragile for needing to be in melee (and then having to stop to recast blades every now and again). I'm mostly frantically spamming whirling blades around a target praying I don't get one shot.
I have about 5,100 health - really no clue how this has an eHP of nearly 8k. Am I missing something with leech / health regen? | |
" If you're talking min/max'ing, crit will always scale higher into the endgame. I minmaxed the shit out of a toon a few leagues ago and got burnt out...now, I'm playing for fun, and crit is unbelievably satisfying to play. BV hits multiple times per second, and each hit has a chance to crit. Since crits deal x% more damage, you have a higher chance to freeze...and boy, do I love those sweet, sweet shatters. Your new gear is a good start. Ditch Esh's mirror and get a good rare shield with life, res, %spell damage and %spell crit and/or %crit multi. Esh's mirror has good synergy with the build on paper, but we're not really hurting for dps. Drop the scepter for a dagger or foil with %phys as x element, and switch to whirling blades for movement. That should solve your "i'm way too slow" problem. Then ditch devoto's and either get a dope rare helm or set up a watch on poe.trade for a super-well rolled Stankonja's. Finally, until you hit 6k hp or so, scour your CWDT and linked gems down to trigger sooner. I usually keep mine at 15% of my raw hp, so in your case, around 800 hp. You'd probably be fine at level 6 (897hp) or 7(1003hp). As a rule of thumb, to reliably do red maps you need 6500-ish effective hp (HP + MoM pool + ES). Juggs and super-high dps magic find builds can be an exception, but this build is neither. I'll look at your tree in a bit. If you have EO, though, I'd recommend dropping it in favor of going crit, even if paper dps is higher. Freeze + shatter will often save your life. |
