Is Vladimir Putin a god? Or just a really effective leader?

I've gotten along well with every Russian I've met personally. Most of them said some unsavory things about protected groups in the USA that would make snowflakes start hyperventilating in a bag.
Russia doesn't screw around. That's just how SJWs are dealt with in Russia. Don't cause problems, especially when Cossacks are around.

Well, it's not so bright. But it never is, there's always grey area.

the pros:

1. Russia earned back some of international prestige USSR had back in the days, and is working to regain its lost status of a world power. For now, it indisputably turned at least into a major "local" factor (by local read the EU region + central Asia, partially Near East).

2. Common Russians don't feel the humiliation they were put to by the western world anymore.
( To be honest, it was unfair to them, and some may pay the bill for their treachery deeds and mockery. But to each his own.)

3. Standard of living has increased by a lot (but also drastically shrank after the sanctions, though).

4. Russia gathered ridiculous amount of currency reserves. Not only in foreign currency, but also in precious metals and stones. Now it has the back up to avoid economical strangle caused by hostile actions and internal issues (which collapsed USSR).

the cons:

1. Someone has to pay for p.1 and 4, and it ain't pretty. Common Russians will starve it, as they do. Prices are up, income is downhill.
Doesn't matter, Kremlin got some global policy to take care for.

2. Russia is in hands of an oligarchic clique led by Putin, with all the consequences to the Russian citizens (directly resulting in quality of living).
It turned into a "private" state. Nothing new to them, but the above mentioned common Russians get fisted once again.

Probably the question one should ask is: "Does Russia have any bright future beyond the policy of Putin and the current direction the state has taken?".
My personal opinion is - no.

Putin can't say "Make Russia Great Again" as he already did that. His new slogan when he starts running in — can you believe it, one week from now? — is going to be "Keep Russia Great," exclamation point.

Literally this.

KEEP RUSSIA GREAT EXCLAMATION POINT
Wash your hands, Exile!
Well, the Oligarchy runs USA too, it's just called the Deep State and <insert economic sector>-industrial complex. It's not like US is present in <insert bombed shithole> to bring muh Democrazy and freedom chicken wings...

US and their Eurocucks hate Putin and Russia, because Putin can't be bought by foreign interests and Russians don't bow down to progressive liberal democrazy. Whipping loudmouth prostitutes included.

But while Eurocucks are barking at Putin and his regional influence, a silent mofo with global implications is consolidating power in China. And no one can afford to criticize him ;)

Murdering and lying and doing bad things actually works in the real world.

Only if you're super smart about it. Shit doesn't work out for the average criminal.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
