Heyho,

SST is available from lvl 12 on, so it should be possible to level and grow up from league start on.

I'm going to use 2 Body Armours, one for Mapping and 1 for Bossing later.

quite a bit ofc, but nothing undoable in 1 or 2 weeks intensive playing

made this one as my starter in bestiary....it's painfully slow to level with, but after taking tailwind in normal lab (at lvl 37) the char starts to speed up and tankier making the levelling process bearable...i suggest to level with other skills such as frost blade for this one until we can use higher shield bases for higher base damage to scale with...and also shields tend to "explode" as it hit on walls, so maybe we can find a way to incorporate frost wall with it making the projectiles shotgun to help with single target during bosses

very true, even when testing the skill on std on a my 92 ranger it is very slow. gotta find alternatives for gaining attack speed while avoiding bloodrage

seems like that is a general skills design problem...

and 10 hours and some drinks later... without thinking about PoE oft.... I must say... - you have to be very strong now - ... we need to sacrifice any support gem for... yes I know... it sucks... sucks a lot... we need to use Faster Attacks!... OR Faster Projectiles... what would such even more lol...
dont wanna imagine that SST would need both of them probably, but yea, we‘ll see... gonna check this tomorrow :) cheers <3

yeah...using SST-FA-WED-PhysProj on my pseudo 5L Ashrend in Bestiary, attack speed is really lacking without FA linked but hey we can use this pseduo 7L chests such as ashrend to cover that lost support gem. Level 59 atm (pretty slow this league, been busy irl) damage and clear is satisfying so far with only tailwind as my ascendancy so we'll have more damage once i get cruel/merc lab. For levelling shields we have uniques to cover that area, Toll Timber at 40's, Atziri's Mirror at 50's (using it atm), Lioneyes Remorse/Magna Eclipsis at 70's till you get that GG 2k arm/eva or hybrid for xtra crit

good idea with Ashrend unt il you can get Inpulsas or Lioneyes Vision.
I found out that completely shitting on chain is the best way to scale the clearspeed.
was using SST-FA-Critchance-Phys2Light-WED-FasterProj for mapping together with inpulsas and sqeezing in herald of ash anyhow. was the first time I could say, this is viable, but then I came to t15 map bosses which pulled me back to reality.
my conclusion is: SST cannot compete with ST or any other high clearspeed skill and even fails more on single targeting. I gave up trying to make SST comfortable for endgaming. it might be ok for casuals and does some fun when the whole screen explodes sometimes, but that is already all about it. I also tried using 6l gloves for mapping and another em setup in the 6l chest for singletargets - also failed.

Sinec we ry to boost the dps with a statsick, we cant even use it for another singeltarget skill at all. maybe with a double extra ele dmg dagger or claw could alow us to kill bosses with blade flurry while mapping with SSt, but when I think about the guardians and stuff, we would be lose again.

If I would continue minamxing I'D rprolly choose noncrit due to more life on tree on the way to elemental overload, but aas long as I dont have a clue for singletargets the time for that would be just wasted.
