Berserker... the ULTIMATE Hidden Potential Class?
It's not. Rage is terribad - enemy damage scaling already requires constant regen and/or leech to mitigate, so rage degen effectively provides more damage to your opponents as your momentum scales. It might be reasonable to say, have your defenses weaken as your offense went up. This isn't that - it's negative sustain, and sustain is a huge deal.
" That only makes sense if you're envisioning some kind of old-school D&D wizard wearing robes, staring at a spellbook for 15 hours a day. PoE is a game where magic gems in your equipment unlock your psychic powers. Iron Will lets you become a muscle wizard. Intelligence doesn't even directly benefit spellcasting for 99% of builds. Given that, there's no particular reason to assume that being a screaming lunatic should be any less useful for shooting lasers from your eyes than it is for hitting a giant scorpion so hard it explodes into ghosts. |

I think it would have been more fun if they went with a design around more damage/IAS based upon life reduction over a period of time.
For example, x% more attack speed and damage based upon amount of damage taken from all sources of reducing life/ES to include hits/blood magic/degens/etc over the last 10 seconds. This rage design is horribly flawed for what you get in return. Perhaps if the IAS/Damage/Movement was a multiplier it might be worth discussing. I suspect Berserker will swing all the way to the bottom 3 in classes chosen; not sure it will be last because the play style may seduce some folks including the OP. Champion/Slayer is just all around better choice for this play style. Thanks for all the fish! Last edited by Nubatron#4333 on Mar 2, 2018, 11:47:33 AM

" it is a 100% attack damage with the second node. Basically rite of ruin gives 50% attack damage 25% attack speed 10% movement speed. Seems allright to me. The smaller nodes that give 12% damage and 6% attack speed is allso one of the better imo. However between cloaked in savagery and rite of ruin i would probaly take cloaked in savagery. Allso, i never pick aspect of carnage on hardcore. I hate the damage taken increase. I geuss to justify the rage stacking you need insane attack speed. Rage is very stupid mechanism. You lose 1 rage every 0.5s. Till you reach another pack of mobs rage will be gone and with it 1/3 of your hp.

Instead of 40 % increased damage, Berzies should get +65 % Attack-Damage! :)

" Blood rage gives 32% increased attack speed and 12% MORE damage (with only 3 frenzy charges), with far less penalty degen, BR gives you 4% of total hp as PHYSICAL degen which can be countered by armour, while Rage gives 5% that you can't mitigate... double Rage isn't even worth the mention imo, 10% degen is just crazy for any high mapping. Also, BR can be canceled with weapon swap or removal of gem if necesery for some map mods, bosses or whatever, while Rage... well... rips you. One of the small nodes you mention with phys dmg and att speed you can take without taking Rage nodes, which is exacly what I'll do on Zerker. I am very sad it ended like this, I actually like the mechanic where bashing things pumps you up, but not with some degen crap, no. Last edited by Raxik#0964 on Mar 2, 2018, 1:23:46 PM

Hidden potential? Where? Oh yeah, potential to be the worst class alongside elementalist.
