No, it's not wrong. I've played totem witches. It's not too far to travel to the templar area from the witch.
However, with the buffs the ascendancies give to totemplars and fire based totem marauders, those two are now probably the best choices for a totem build... and both probably look equally bad in that 3D art.

I dont understand how this is something worth complaining about still when the norm is to run as fast as funking possible through maps while one-shotting everything.. optimizing your hideout so you can spend as little time as possible standing still, so you can sell and run more maps as fast as possible!
