Price Fixing is Cheating - How Might it be Fixed?

'Cheating' means doing something against the rules. While price fixing is annoying, there are no rules that states you have to sell item with listed price, so this is not cheating.

The CHEATING is these people use very low price to cheat other people to list unreasonable low price.

Maybe you had ever been cheated some times.

Price fixing may create inconveniences for players for only one reason - these players are not really good to estimate real prices of items they are trying to sell and this is only their fault but not someone's else fault. Being better as a player and being able to recognise true value of items is part of gameplay imho.

For me, this post turned out to be far more thought provoking than I suspected at first glance. Thank you for that. You are not wrong. But "cheating" has a fair bit of emotion entangled in its meaning and this opens it up to differing interpretations. Me, personally, I do consider fake pricing to fit within my understanding of "cheating" (which is fairly broad I admit). Reading your post caused me a brief moment of doubt regarding my grasp of the English language, but routine came to my rescue and I looked up the meaning of "cheat" (in my trusty but ageing hard cover dictionary) and found:

gain unfair advantage by deception or breaking rules, esp. in a game or examination

So I do not believe that I am wrong either. We do have a difference of opinion on whether "fake pricing" is unfair or not. I leave it to someone else to go fetch the definition of "unfair". So we are both free to petition GGG regarding the fairness of "fake pricing". I wish you a modest amount of good fortune in your endeavours.

I now comment in Forums with my Xbox account:

An auction house that requires you to sell at the price you set would fix everything.

Nah, doing away with trade would be just like D3. Not that this would be a bad move for the game, IMO, but ...
i find it astounding that in 2018, i appear to be the only person in/on this game that knows what "price fixing" actually is/means.
