Rested experience?

I honestly don't see the big deal of having rested experience in the game, though personally I see absolutely no need for it. Rested Experience in WoW was never efficient for level grinding and the amount of hours you would need to spend not playing the game and staying logged out in an 'inn' area to get even one full level of it was quite a bit. Plus, it capped at 2 full levels max if I recall correctly, and that wasn't really much at all. Plus, it wasn't like you got any real permanent 'bonus exp' from it anyway; it just doubled your exp gain for a set amount of time and once you reached the end of it your exp gain went back to normal. It was more of a 'playing catch up' sort of thing and not something that gave you any real advantage.

Some people could say that in this game it would be beneficial at higher levels, and to a degree it might be, but in WoW at higher levels the rested exp was also scaled to come at a slower pace because you needed so much more. You might get a whole level of rested exp at lower levels by not playing for a few days, but at higher levels you might not even get half the exp bar, and again, you would've gotten that much exp and more in far less time if you actually grinding. Not to mention that in this game the exp gains plus the exp penalties for dying during progress between each level and the fact you get less and less exp for monsters as you level up...suddenly that rested exp isn't helping as much as you might initially think.

But again, I PERSONALLY do not see the need for it in this game, though if by some crazy chance it was ever included, I don't think it would be that big of a concern.
no way they should even consider any of these MMO style suggestions, id rather eat a bowl of shit than play a game with features like those.

I mean, once you've completed normal difficulty, the game is essentially over, and all content has been seen.

If you mean that all the graphics have been seen, then yes, otherwise no.

Just wait till you get to maps... this is not a game on rail. You get new combinations of conditions and rules that keep the game quite challenging.

I don't think rested experience would hurt the game at all, if it had a rather low ratio (you don't play the game for a week and get +50% XP for a very short time), but it seems like a pointless thing that doesn't belong. The only reason it really exists is for marketing - if a player wears himself out playing the game too much, you can still hook them back, encourage them to come back and play, to use up their rested experience (which hits a cap quickly). But I honestly don't think it belong here.

And certainly, not if it's going to actually make reaching 100 easier (which rested experience, ideally wouldn't impact at all).

And of course, without returning to play its kinda 50% XP boost on zero XP.
Hahahaha - wow did i actually just see this topic suggestion ... wtf.

Well - i suppose its only natural to have every WoW player and their dog come along. I realise other games out there use systems like this , but lets face it, theres a serious amount of *Would like this WoW feature* threads around here.

100% against this. Its un needed, and furthermore, it only takes 2-3 days to reach end game content anyways, not 2-3 months. Evena casual player, can join group games, and level fast, progress fast, in this game.

Cheers.

I can't actually think of a great argument against this, but the idea of copying unique mechanics from WoW just for the sake of doing so makes my brain vomit.
